Gaddafi has never been my brother but he was certainly Blair's and Hague's(remember all those kisses and meetings in Gaddafi's tent) but one has to put things in perspective. His record in Africa speaks for itself.$ 12 billion in interest free loans and grants to African countries, the biggest man-made river holding more than 250million cubic metres of drinking water and thousands of schools and colleges in Africa.Your country's record was chaining millions of black Africans head to toe and selling them to the slave trades in North America.

Your description of anti-Gaddafi's freedom fighters is laughable.Who are they?Who is Jalil the rebel's leader? An ex-gaddafi minister of justice who sentenced to death the Bulgarian nurses and thousands others. The ever obliging Murdoch media kept Jalil's CV secret as well as the Al-Qaeda lot that make up the rebels council.

You say that my views on Nato are biased but so are the views of the French legal team that is accusing Sarkozy for crimes against humanity committed in Misrata and Sirte.Whether their action in ICC will be successful remains to be seen but if it was it will probably include boy scout Cameron.

Now if my recollection helps me it was the opinion of the British defense guru's in Murdoch's news outlets that the war in Libya wouldn't last more then 4 weeks. We have just entered the eighth month since actions against Gaddafi started and this is not over yet. When Gaddafi declares defeat then the guys with the beards will start their own struggle for dominance.Nato's nightmare hasn't even started yet.

There is no doubt that Sirte is the new Fallujah with hundreds of bodies lying in the streets with houses in ruin or burning. The destruction of Sirte is the Brits most shameful hour since Dresden with the RAF being complicit in destroying a town of 100,000 people.

One has to hand it to those fighters defending Sirte for having the balls to stand against the combined power of Nato and the rebels.History will surely reveal the horrors of what is happening in Sirte - all conducted with the assistance by those peace-loving bandits (aka NATO). Shame on the United Nations,China and Russia for letting this violence happen on the people of Libya.

Still holding out for Brother Gadaffi?

You seem to have changed your tune regarding NATO's campaign in Libya. One minute you accuse NATO of been incompetent and "half-hearted", next you accept NATO have been successful in their aims but are now "shameful" despite the fact that NATO and the Anti-Gadaffi Freedom Fighters have allowed civilians to leave Sirte. Let me remind you it was Dictator Gadaffi's power thirsty stubbornness (who refused to listen to the will of the Libyan people) which started this civil war.

Let me quote you from the 29th July:

"Nato’s military intervention in Libya looks curtains to me.It’s pretty clear now Nato has been unable to defeat Gadaffi, partly because it is half-hearted – nato is already demoralised from its defeat in Afganistan - and partly because Gadaffi is popular with the Libyan people as a whole."

Where to start?

Still think NATO and the Anti-Gadaffi Freedom Fighters have been unable to defeat Gadaffi? Still think Gadaffi WAS popular with his people? The Libyans in Tripoli didn't exactly find Gadaffi "popular" considering Tripoli fell into the hands of the Republican Freedom Fighters in a matter of days. Surely those loyal to Brother Gadaffi and his Dictatorship would have put up a better fight than that? Or is it that his Mercenaries and deluded soldiers were more incompetent than those in Sirte? Did the people of Tripoli finally see through Gadaffi's BS and lies and realise that Anti-Gadaffi forces weren't on drugs (which Gadaffi had previously stated as to why they were opposing him)?

You keep going on about history, do you think history will remember the fact that the Freedom Fighters have allowed for the people of Sirte to leave so that they can avoid the conflict? Do you think history will remember that the Freedom Fighters have offered Gadaffi's mercenaries in Sirte to surrender peacefully to avoid further bloodshed? Do you think that history will remember that the continued violence is down to Gadaffi and his mercenaries? This War could have ended months ago.

Do you think controversial biased historians who have similar views to you will conveniently 'forget' to mention such things in an attempt to re-write history?

There is one bit where I do agree with you, I think the bombing of Dresden was wrong. It was only done so that the Soviets could get to Berlin two weeks sooner.

How long do you think Gadaffi's Loyal Supporters aka Mercenaries in Sirte will hold out for? Give it a week and they'll realise Gadaffi's money isn't worth it and their 'loyalty' will come to an end.

Expect them to leave a handful of towns loyal to Gaddafi "unliberated" so they dont have to call elections and they can stay in power for as long as they want
