As Serbia is one of the if not the most important country in the region,
(Ari Gold, 7 October 2011 19:14)

In case you don’t know already, you can google to understand what “megalomania” means :)

As an exercise I asked a few of my colleagues to run some computer models on Serbia and the Serbian economy. The outcome ranged from very good to excellent.
(sj, 8 October 2011 00:52)

I bet you used the same prediction you have been using in these forums for year and which proved all to be correct :)

I also suggest that you take a second look around you and you might be pleasantly surprised that the EU is going to hell in a handbasket and the US is further advanced than that.
(sj, 8 October 2011 00:52)

Sj, I supplicate you to start immediately posting sign in the Mediterranean and the EU eastern borders to tell thousands of immigrants to turn back and not go to hell. They need to discover the Serbian paradise. Also, we should find a way to hack the green card lottery website to post a warning for the millions and millions of people who apply from all over the world (Serbia included) that they are applying for going to hell :)

Long live Kostunica – a true Serb who has his people’s interest at heart.
(sj, 8 October 2011 00:52)

Not only Serbs' but Albanians' interests, as well, who would be happy to see Kostunica back as president of Serbia so that Kosovo does not have to deal with complication like Serbia in the EU.

Serbia can steer its own course without relying on a single country.
(Blow Harder, 8 October 2011 02:43)

Yeah, and it will have the success of Hoxha’s Albania in the 1970s and 80s who applied the same theory :)

LOL. It is the territories controlled by Pristina that have everything in common with lawless Somalia. Funny that, Serbia and the RS regularly collect good foreign investment despite being the enemies of the west, yet the M-C Federation, 'Kosova' [sic], and Albania are right at the bottom. I am bored with straw man arguments put up against Serbia and those foreigners who 'know better'. The EU has neither political nor financial credibility. They are a laughing stock, much like the United States. Serbia can steer its own course without relying on a single country. As if people haven't noticed that globalization has turned out as the west has wanted it. They're left looking like amateurs.

If this is the case and you are not worried what happens in Serbia then why post your comments at all?
I love this one “Its fear of another lawless Moldova or Somalia in SE Europe. Its afraid of Serbian failure,”. This is neither Albania nor an Albanian-run..
As an exercise I asked a few of my colleagues to run some computer models on Serbia and the Serbian economy. The outcome ranged from very good to excellent. In fact those models indicate that at full manufacturing and agricultural capacity Serbia will be able to sell all it produces to Russia and China alone, so go and buy your raspberries from the Albanians in Kosovo LOL.
I strongly recommend that the EU put all of those investments in Bulgaria and Romania first and show the Serbs of living happily ever after. I also suggest that you take a second look around you and you might be pleasantly surprised that the EU is going to hell in a handbasket and the US is further advanced than that.

You have no idea what you are talking about. What do you think these regional conferences convincing Serbia to give up on Russia and turn West are all about? The West is petrified of a staunchly pro Russian country in Europe's back yard. As Serbia is one of the if not the most important country in the region, it would be a geopolitical disadvantage to the EU if it is not apart of the union or at least aspiring to join it.

But its ok, all of those things wont matter very shortly as the EU will have to try to stop itself from the inevitable spiral towards its own demise as defaults and mass protests are on the way.

Interesting times lie ahead....
(Ari Gold, 7 October 2011 19:14)

Ari, We could care less if Serbia decides to openly enter an agreement with Russia. We're aware that Serbia is ALREADY staunchly pro-Russian. Where has that gotten you? Nowhere. You are landlocked and all your neighbors fear you as a result of prior disputes. Moving towards Russia will only increase that fear. But its not fear of Serbia advancing economically. Its fear of another lawless Moldova or Somalia in SE Europe. Its afraid of Serbian failure, which is what moving to the Russian model of development/human rights without oil will bring. We all know that the only reason Russia is as 'wealthy' as it is (which is as 'rich' as Mexico and Turkey and Serbia) is because of very high energy prices. Those prices have been collapsing (especially natural gas - more important to Russia than oil prices) because of massive new finds. That isn't replicable for Serbia. A landlocked Serbia aligned with Russia and thumbing its' nose at the EU, is going to have difficulty trading with its neighbors. And your economy will suffer badly.

You don't have to join the EU, but if you create tension with your neighbors and your trading partners, you aren't going to be successful. We can buy raspberries and cable elsewhere. And if you continue to reward lawlessness and nullification you will lose capital and you will repel foreign investment.

The name is Vojslav, Vojslav 'Bondsteel' Koštunica.

Does he think a 99 year lease is long enough?

To 'spygrant', you are confused. Serbia produces more than enough electricity. The albanians in Kosovo have to buy it through european third parties so it is much more likely that Pristina will literally be in the dark, to physically match its reputation as the black hole of the Balkans.
