Hungarians want land returned to collaborators from WWII. Granted not all those expelled after WWII by the Partizan's were collaborators - but the demands made by the SVM are ridiculous.
The European standards shows that those expelled in WWII have no right to get their land back. The expelled hungarians from Serbia numbered less then 40,000 while 10 million Germans were expelled from Eastern Europe. No land was returned to the Germans, a return of this land was not part of the EU admissions process and Germans have returned to live with it.
I repeat. No German land in Eastern Europe was returned and returning the land was not part of Eastern European EU admissions.
I have a feeling that if Hungary adopts the SVM strategy it will cause more embarassment - just like Orbans current rule in Hungary.
