Usually I disagree with you on all things Kosovo, but here is something other than subject so I wanted to chime in. You are spot-on in your assessment, Ian. Most folks do not know the first car bombings and terrorist acts in the Middle East were committed by Jewish terrorists against British (occupiers) forces. This same double-standard is evident with that Norwegian terrorist who was called a "Christian extremist" in the media. Why not a Christian terrorist? Terrorism is terrorism, so why are people so hung up on the religious aspect of it?

Cheers for agreeing with me. Terrorism is terrorism regardless of religion. But since the US's 'War on Terrorism' only Muslims are portrayed as terrorists. But we know there are Christian terrorists such as what happened recently in Norway, Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing as well as ETA and the IRA. There are several Jewish terrorist organisations, I bet there are Hindu terrorist groups; Buddhist, Sikh and Atheist groups too. However in the 21st century in Europe and North America we only show Muslims as terrorists and everyone else is an 'extremist'. Double standards!

"A mosque in northern Israel has been torched and sprayed with graffiti, in a suspected attack by Jewish extremists."

Had this been the other way round and Palestinians had burned and vandalised a Synagogue, that sentence would read:

"A Synagogue in northern Israel has been torched and sprayed with graffiti, in a suspected attack by Islamic Terrorists".

Because when Jews do stuff like this it is branded as 'extremism', but when Muslims do things like this it is branded as 'terrorism'; it isn't politically correct to refer to Jews as terrorists but it is acceptable to refer to Muslims as terrorists.

Double Standards???
