Is anybody still of the opinion Serbia is not blackmailed ?

Can I borrow any of your money? That's the only issue left for the hopelessly bankrupt EU. Serbia CAN stand up to these clowns. It only requires courage. Just ask Milorad Dodik...who runs circles around the dead EU.

EU is nothing but a failed dream of some European countries, and German asperation to invade the rest of Europe economicaly, since it failed militarely.Name one country which has prospered under EU banner, except Germany and France(master and pupet).Serbia should abandon the EU dreams and concentrate more on preserving own identity, which it's rapidly loosing under Tadic's leadership.I am not advocating going into any more armed conflicts( far from that)but update your industry,agriculture, and give your people better lives.Serbian people have suffered enough under failed leaderships. Average citizens are strugling to survive,while Tadics and so called government members are wealthier by the day. Can anyone explain this? PLEASE

the Serb diaspora who contribute on these forums and who seem to rejoice in the apparent fall of the west, seem to reside in the west. why don't you live in China, Russia if they're the future? why do you live in the West if you hate it so much? makes no sense

Because by now we have families and extended families here. It's not so easy to leave everything behind and start fresh somewhere else.
We are not saying that people who live in the west are going to be homeless but that the government will be under so much pressure from their own people just to keep the basic necessities going they will have to abandon their dreams of imperialism.
The people will not allow much more poverty so we are going to be ok and therefore no need to move but the country itself will have to start looking at saving which means no more imperialism.

I always find it strange how Serbs, out of some sort of schadenfreude, refer to the EU as some sort of "failed dream". The EU, in some form has been around since the 50s and, as such, has survived much longer than any failed attempt at any kind of independent state in the Balkans.

I really wouldn't be so quick to use those words if I were you.

Also, the EU isn't going anywhere, even if the Euro fails. Remember that they aren't the same thing.

Peggy, that's total rubbish and you know it. Allow me to tell you why you don't leave the West. You are guaranteed a far higher standard of living than in say China, Russia and all the other growing economies of the east. You are also guaranteed your basic human rights, the right to religious worship, right to political activism, no discrimination based on sexual orientation, rights which the growing economies (the ones Serb now laud) do not respect. nothing to do with extended families. its OK though, I'm sure a lot of Serbs will be living in China anytime soon. Oh look, a flying pig!!!
