''The list goes on, and it is becoming late.

I will just say; way to go Mr. Berisha! You’ve re-earned my respect!
(Jauiqi Tomrat, 27 September 2011 05:26) ''

Berisha is a former serbian agent my friend, he sold petrol to serbs in 90s, he killed kosovo activists...his statements in UN are the official stance of Albania as a state, and not of our 'beloved' premier, his advisors wrote those statements, as for the road, the highway project was proposed since 1999 during the war in kosovo and back then berisha was not in power, and he built the road beacuse it had to be built, beacuse albania is a state with its own platform, not berisha's landlot...the only thing i admired about Berisha was his way to deal with greeks in 90s, when a greek ship was shelled by our artilery in 96..., but recently he has been trying to sell our sea to greeks. Every time Berisha comes into power, vatican, arabs, jews and even serbs, come visit albania...Berisha was the one that made us member of islamic conference at first place(the only european country)...the same conference which oposes kosovo indipendence, see, berisha is a genious...

And don't be ashamed of Albanian situation in 90s, it was nothing more nothing less better than the situation in post communist eastern europe...

I had lost all the respect for Mr. Berisha after the fiasco of the 90's, where the Ponzi Schemes actually brought him down from power. It was right before that happened that I visited Albania for the first time. The infrastructure was nonexistent. There were constant power outages, water shortages and lack of basic necessities. The arable land was just a wasteland and no one was working on it. The irrigation systems built during the Hoxha years were non functional. Everything available in stores was imported from the neighboring countries. Truly disappointed with what I saw, I left, thinking that this place had no hope, with no plans to return.

After more than a decade as passed, during my visit to Kosovo this summer, I decided to see what was going on in Albania.

Well, I couldn’t actually believe that this was the same place that I visited in the 1990’s.

First thing that caught my attention was the highway, of course. If we didn’t do all the touristy stuff on our way, we would get to Tirana in less than 4 hours from Prishtina. The highway has actually revived the economy of the Northern Albania and helped introduce their farm products to Kosovo. The produce from Albania has all but replaced the products that Kosovo used to import from Turkey, Serbia, and Macedonia. This road is gradually replacing the Thessaloniki Port as a sea supply route as goods can reach Kosovo in about 3 hours from the ports of Durres and Shengjin, and do not have to pay transit taxes to Greece and Macedonia.

Second thing that I noticed (this was June, 2011) was the number of people working in the farms. What was a wasteland full of garbage in the 1990s, now was all green, with different types of fruits and vegetables growing. I was amazed with the areas of Lezha, as we were driving up to Shkodra, all the way to Velipoje. Lots of tractors, even horses and other farm animals, plowing away…

Third, Tirana has changed from a gray typical communist city to a colorful Mediterranean city, full of life. The river banks were cleaned, municipal services have greatly improved, many parks were created and so on.

Fourth, there were no power outages. Apparently the Albanian and Kosovo government have signed an agreement to augment each other’s power needs. Since Albania has plenty of power during winter (as its power is generated by hydro plants) , and Kosovo has a higher demand during winter (as its power is generated by thermal power plants), they are successfully addressing the power supply needs. It’s vice-versa during summer, when Kosovo exports to Albania.

Fifth, about 50% of the products in the shelves were made locally. I did not find any Serb products. I did find milk from Montenegro in Shkoder.

Sixth, its GDP per capita in 2010 was $8000. Quite an improvement considering that it was below $2000 in the 1990’s.

Seventh – its southern coast will be the next touristic hotspot. Already a desirable place by many young bohemian travelers from all over Europe, this is the next goldmine for the Albanian economy. Although the locals are doing their best to provide accommodations, and there is room for improvement, this place needs a year, or two to bloom. The brand new roads are already bringing the crowds from Kosovo, Macedonia, and even Serbia (saw many Serb plates while there). Perhaps a new airport (requiring some investment from the government) would attract crowds.

The list goes on, and it is becoming late.

I will just say; way to go Mr. Berisha! You’ve re-earned my respect!

Latest news from Romania: the security council decided that Romania will withdraw it's police and gendarmerie troops from Kosovo.
(Mihai M, 26 September 2011 18:52)

This is the best thing that has happened to Kosovo recently.

Romanians were caught smuggling cigarettes and alcohol over the border in Northern Kosovo as they were going home for vacation.

They also killed two peaceful demonstrators in Prishtina and were never brought to justice.

(M. Johns, 25 September 2011 17:13)

Croatia and Bosnia didn't care about Seriba's territorial inetrity either, did they? As far as I remember the wars had a lot to do with Serbs LIVING in those areas not wanting to be usurped by Croatia or Bosnia.

Kosovo today is a product of overt and covert ethnic cleansing, historical revisionism, cultural nihilism and the bad seeds running it. The powerful lies which created this monster are slowly being brought to light. The NATO foreign policy doctrine is slowly unravelling and will soon get to a tipping point where the foreigners will go back to taking care of problems that actually affect their voter base, and not some egotistical vanity project nightmare they are trying to create.

Good. Let's go down to recommendation-rigging and cheating business. Nothing wrong with it, business is business, some cheat during the elections, some cheat with organ harvest. If that's allowed, we can cheat with recommendations.

The procedure.

"Berisha" wants to be the symbol of democracy and all kind of good things, not a bloody red communist like he used to be. And "Šešelj" is a bloody nationalist.

In that spirit: "green" votes are for Berisha, "red" votes for "Šešelj".

If draw, than I will pick up a camera lens

Steve,
He made this statement before the 4th investigation into these allegations. With 3 coming up without any credible evidence and Marty not revealing anything new. Fiction is probably the correct term.

Why is he interfearing in something he shouldn't? Serbs are often blamed for interfearing in neighbouring countries but its the other way around. Croats telling Serbs what to do in regards to Kosovo. Bosnia making problems in Sandzak. Albania making problems in Kosovo. Montenegro making trouble pretty much everywhere. Stay out of Serbias southern province of Kosovo!

Thanks for the link, Ataman. I found this one part of it to be quite telling:

So I suppose whatever one hears from the leader of a state like this must be taken with a ton of salt.

“Actually it was NATO intelligence that revealed RUMORS of organ trafficking”

Was it the same geniuses who told their political masters that NATO with it superior weapons and intellect could win the war in Afghanistan?

Have a very good look at your western intelligence and the fruits of their labours – major losses at every turn both militarily and economically. Lost wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and a GFC 2 on its way with the only country able to bail them out is a state run by the Communists – isn’t that a delicious irony.

Okay, that looks pretty balanced already, not 100% perfect but close to it.
So what's next?

Before you start the voting about me assuming Berisha's role or Seselj's role and finishing the voting business here in the favor of one or the other gang - please remember your childhood.

Everyone had probably a jar of cookies which did look like being full. A pilgrimage to that jar looked safe... again and again. After all, cheating by one or two cookies is OK, no one will notice it - right?

At the end it was a very empty jar and a very angry grandma.

That's about the "fixing" the voting score a bit. d;^)

If everyone fixes it just a "bit" - that's enough for the voting to look ridiculous. Let's get real: any score over 15 either way is probably rigged, realistic are +/- 5 at best - most "regulars" do not vote.

This illustrates to the world , how backward, corrupt and amateur the Albanian leadership is. To announce to the world that the organ trafficking is a work of fiction - before extensive investigation has begun shows why nobody in the world believes a word that comes out of Albania to be true. But facts are rolling in all the time and this fool of a leader will be made to look the ass that he is as they surface.

The only fiction there is at present - is the so called " independent" state of Kosovo!

Guys/girls - this is where we are now, at 20:06 CET, September 25 2011.
I dare to remind, there are about a dozen or so people on each side. It looks for me, we already are at close to 200% voting threshold on each side and on each comment. That is way better than the 99.9% - what Dear Leader Kim can show the world. Heck, even better than the measly 110% voting success of Hashim Thaçi in certain areas of Kosovo.

I have some advantage of technical nature. I did not decide yet today - should I be a Berisha or a Šešelj for the next hour? Please help me to decide. Thanks - and ether way I decide - the voting for the lucky ones will soar to new heights.

This guy Berisha is quite the entertainer. The Province of Kosovo certainly is beautiful in terms of natural beauty, but it is still a territory where KAs have made organized crime and trafficking its number one industry. Marty's report is full of information that is not surprising because we all know what the KAs are about; what is surprising is that the West generated it and permitted it to be written. Kosovo will never be a legitimate "nation" no matter how much the US tries to buy international recognitions. It is a stillborn "nation" that has reached a dead end without hope of UN membership; it now must negotiate with Serbia, a nation that is a UN member. Time is on Serbia's side because the West will eventually get sick of maintaining and financing its ward.

Kosova is living her rebirth. People are happy to be free and to have their destiny in their hands. At least 2 highways are under construction. The energy supply left without any mantainence and investments for the past 30years is now almost solved. Free and democratic elections are held. The state of law is getting stronger every day with the help of EULEX as well. The minorites are wel integrated and represented in all levels of the govt from local to the central. Serbs have 3 ministers, Turks 1. The number of K-Serbs in the KPS, FSK ministries is growing. Jauiqi Tomrat

pre 12 godina

Don't like Berisha too much of populist/communist political culture in him but must agree this time with him.

Kosova is living her rebirth. People are happy to be free and to have their destiny in their hands. The investments although not strategic and moreover not well planed and coordinated are still growing every day. Prishitna is an open sky cantiere and it is getting build everyday more beautiful. The international affirmation of Kosova is growing constantly with the ever increasing number of countries recognizing Kosova now at number 84.

Things are going well although it can and it must be done better.
