Serbia should look at the strongest country in the world. That country can take down any force. This is an unmatched record in human history, begun probably sometimes in Han dynasty. The country in question is of course not China or USA or Russia as some would think. The strongest country on the Planet Earth is Hungary.

Always keep an eye on that country. Let's start with Chinese.

- Han did essentially allied itself with Huns... to be destroyed and China went down for centuries.
- Rome - after decades of hostilities allied itself with Huns.... to be destroyed.
- Khzar Kaganate was perhaps stronger than Byzantine Empire... till it did not allied itself with Magyars.... to be destroyed.
- Mongols did ride happily through entire Russia... till they reached that cursed place, had one more victory - but eventually fled, realizing things will go wrong. Probably the only wise guys, everyone else got the worst of it.
- Skenderbeg eventually lost and Albania got occupied by Ottomans, but not before he allied himself with Hunyadi.
- Ottomans eventually lost - but not before they allied them self with Hungarians in the second part of 17th century. Before, they owned everyone.
- It was Austrians, who did beat Ottomans with Poles. Poles got first the kick because they allied them self with Hungarians. Before that they even did occupy Moscow. Now Moscow occupied them.
- Austrians did even beat Napoleon eventually... but just in time they allied themselves with Hungarians in 1867, things went pretty bad in Sarajevo (1914) and even worse in 1918.
- Who would think? For a very short period of time Yugoslavia allied itself with Hungary, that was 1941. That partnership lasted only few days, it got destroyed by Hitler. Luckily for YU, it became the enemy of Hungary during Hitler's invasion - no wonder, it did raise from ashes in 1944-45.
- Hungary became the ally of Soviet Union
- Hungary became the ally of Gaddafi
- Closest partners of Hungary besides of Soviet Union were GDR and Yugoslavia.

Things to watch out: Hungary is in European Union, is ally of USA and a NATO member.

Be careful: we can take down China, Rome, Ottomans, Hapsbugs, Rzecz Pospolita, Soviet Union like 1-2-3 by just becoming their allies.

No Albanian land got occupied by Ottomans while Skenderbeg was alive. Skenderbeg died of natural death in 1468 and Albania got occupied by Ottomans in 1479 which means 11 years after his death.

While it sounds like a joke, it has a simple explanation. It's a very difficult group of people to rule / manage. And who raises high enough to rule that group - has often all attributes of a politician from hell.

Twin topic of "why can we take down every empire" is the "why do we have the highest concentration of Nobel prize winners". Both are true and both related.

(Un)fortunately the Nobel prize winners will never become close to politics.

correction on this one: the alliance between Albanians and Hungarians did not work in practice as the Serbians did not join the alliance thus the alliance Alb-Hung failed from the very start.

No Albanian land got occupied by Ottomans while Skenderbeg was alive. Skenderbeg died of natural death in 1468 and Albania got occupied by Ottomans in 1479 which means 11 years after his death.
