"The name "Vukajlovic" was previously "Vukaj" which is an old and common Albanian surname. A typical example of a Serbian name that was originally an Albanian name. Another instance of forced assimilation of Albanians which indicates the Albanians were in Illyria long before the Serbs arrived.
(An Observer, 20 September 2011 13:47) "

Or maybe the last name Vukaj stems from Vukajlovic. As genetic research shows that "Albanians" have as much Slavic blood as Serbs do, and Serbs have more Illirian blood than Albanians. So the theory that all those Christian Albanians are Serbs stands. On the other note, it must be old Albanian last name - given that country Albania exists from 1917. However, Vukaj surname could stem from the period when Turks invaded Slavic lands, and some Slavs changed their beautiful Slavic surnames.

Cheers from London!

Serbs Bulgarians and Greeks are only religious unity, not a people.

Markvukaj or Simaku, both Albanian names, but with the help of the Vic Ski and Os/As turn into a religious name of our neighbors, eg Vukajovic, Vukajski, and Vokalos all done ;)

Just a Byzantine technique of who owned which cattle, but all are "Greek", as the Catholics are Latin.

Jealousy is high when 320 million Greek Slavs surround the last people of the Balkans.

On to topic, flu vaccines should be a choice and not a "program" especially for grown ups with a choice in life.

An Observer,

I guess that means that Vuk Jeremic is an Albanian!

Good luck with that University of Prishtina degree.

@An Observer...no where in the article does it discuss Albanian and Serbian tensions so why do you feel you need to interject such comments. It wasn't even applicable to the article.

If it si Albanian as you claim...she didn't have to change her name. It was a decision she made so get over it!
