I hope Thaci and the Americans are happy for creating this mess. I hope it is worth it.
Finally Serbs are letting Albanians taste their own medicine.
(Hank the Tank, 17 September 2011 15:02)

Hey Hank did you check with Moscow before you said that? I laugh everytime I see these comments that try to convince readers that Kosovo wont move unless the U.S. says to. I know for your part you are a proud Serb that lives in a country of free men at peace with all unless picked on by tiny neighbors. When will Serbs stop acting like they dont call Russia for help and advice?

Very wrong.

If Bulgarian and Croatian products are cheaper than wouldn't your people have used those products this whole time. If Serbia didn't make up a significant portion of Kosovo's economy then why was a deal on customs so important to the EU? I'll tell you why, because the EU is broke and Kosovo is broke and to raise prices 10-20% by buying products from other countries would defiantly hurt the K.Albs and its financier, the EU way more than it would hurt Serbia.

Are you guys trading with us because you are nice guys and want to be friends? Of course not. The trade that exists between K.Albs and their Serbian superiors is only out of necessity and finding the best price. Because believe me, if you could find a better price for whatever Serbs are selling you, I am positive you would. Even if it was the same exact price, you would. To say that K.Albs would not be hurt from a Serbian embargo is ridiculous.

Hank the Tank is right, Serbia's mercy is the only reason why Kosovo is not a bigger hell hole than it already is. This is obviously Belgrade's fault. It is not as if Albanians are treating the Serbs in the province as people, so why should we make life easier for you?

Maybe we cannot fight the West on Kosovo right now. But we CAN make life a bigger hell hole for that prison you call 'Kosova'. Once the West either A. bleeds Serbian soil of all the resources it has and leaves, or B. succumbs to its own imperial greed way before that..then we will get Kosovo back and there will be no trace of dirty Albanians on Christian soil.

Until then, Serbia should make life more painful and expensive for everyday Albanians wherever it can, and to say that Serbia cannot do that at all is as retarded as your stillborn child called 'Kosova'.

Wow the return of the Kosovar/Albanian trucks will probably create a european crisis. What will the poor drug adicts do now without their albo/drugs. This will surely afect the triving kosovo economy. I guess human organ smugling is safer business.
love you serbs, even though sometimes you are naive.

Serbian companies offer nothing what cannot bought in other countries, too. To claim that this might have negative impacts on Albanian customers is just a wishful thinking of yours. In the contrary, Serbian products had an unfair advantage since they were not taxed and could easily undercut other prices.

That ended and other companies from Croatia and Bulgaria have entered the market, filling out the Serbian products. Serbia's losses were 1 Mio per day and when it turns out that thos trucks have been illegitimately send back, then you will get your embargo back, causing more losses for those Serbian companies.

Who do you think will suffer the most? 70.000 Serbs or 1.8 million Albanians? Without the mercy of Serbia, Kosovo is a prison.

"Nobody at the Tax Administration checkpoint wanted to comment on the reasons why trucks carrying goods from Kosovo were not allowed to go through."

If they block the trucks, they should be able to explain why. Did the custom papers had an other stamp than the UNMIK-approved one that was agreed upon during the last Belgrade-Pristina talks? Or did the tax officers violate the agreement?

As we have learned from the recent history with Serbia since 1992 under Milosevic: treaties, agreements, promises etc. are there to be generally ignored or abode by them. Certainly they will as usual put the blame on the other side.

Yes and Albanian companies must find more expensive, alternative routes to Western Europe.

You are acting as if this only hurts Serbs. If Albanians could find cheaper routes and NOT use Serbia and put $$ in the pockets of Serb companies that they wouldn't? Obviously any business Albanian companies do with Serb ones are because the Serb ones are the best prices to offer.

Think logically, higher expenses equal a bigger headache for businesses in Kosovo and more expenses that your people could do without. So this hurts your people too.

But you know, that would take logic and a basic education to understand..I almost forgot who I was talking too.

Proof positive Serbia does not negotiate in good faith. Kosovo has been making this point all alone, and now they will have another chance to show Serbia's true intentions- stall and delay without any intention to resolve problems. So, next time Borko meets with Tahiri and Copper, he won't be trusted and Kosovo won't be pressured to agree to anything. Serbia's diplomatic efforts are so 20th century . Keep shooting yourself on the foot Serbia. Kosovo just checkmated you by , for the first time, establishing a real border between the two countries. Serbs in the North can put up blockades all they want- they are still within Kosovo. Kosovo now is in a position where it no longer needs to negotiate with Serbia. Borders are sealed, and sure Serbs can hibernate on their roadblocks all winter if they like. That's not really going to hurt Kosovo as they are not interested in trade with Kosovo anyway. How long can Serbs hold out in the self created ghetto ? 3 month? 6 winter months? Perhaps, and then what? Boarders are still sealed! Dear Serbs, time is not on your side.
Now, que the Serbian cries and pleas for negotiation. Response from Eu and Kosovo:Remember the customs agreement you agreed to but did not honor? Vuk jumps in to save the day and another useless Security Council meeting is held. Border with Serbia is still sealed and Serbs in the north are still living in a ghetto. We can keep this going for a longggg time!

The article talks about three (3) trucks, not ALL trucks. According to my deductive reasoning, majority of Kosovan goods are entering the Serbian market.

Don't jump the gun people, use your heads.

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Trade and Industry Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila stated Friday that Kosovo would use reciprocal measures if the agreement reached on September 2 in Brussels was violated in any way.

Good move, we were the first to allow trucks to enter Kosova, and we showed the world that we respect agreements, now is Serbia's turn and if they don't, the agreement is null and void.Back to embargo, I just love it the way things are unfolding in favor of Kosova. We have seen two diplomatic scandals from top Russian diplomats(one in Belgrade and one in UN HQ), and I am very happy the way they acted
