Actually hi is right. No new conditions for Serbia, just the old ones:

1. Recognize Kosovo
2. Derecognize the Dayton agreement for Bosnia
3. Recognize the independence of Vojvodina, Sandzak, Presevo, the republic of Nis, republic of Pancevo, republic of Cuprija, republic of Svilajnac, republic of Aleksinac etc.
5. Arrest and extredite the showman, wolfman and the taliban
6. Stop spreading lies that Santa Clause doesn't exist

Then, and only then, Serbia can join.

Well sure the more the merrier with so many members going bankrupt they will need more willing peoples pockets to be emptied. Then their are million of paper shovelers EU bureaucrats jobs to be saved and old has been politicians chance to have kick at the all the same tax taxpayers bend over. Its the only EU European growth industry that is also bankrupting the peoples sure more the merrier.

He is only saying this now since emotions are high in Northern Kosovo with the criminal actions of Pristina 'customs' supported by some in the EU. He is hoping to placate Serbs with their lies of'we support you Serbia' what they mean is please don't rock the boat, please don't cause a fuss and once we've succeeded then we'll make new demands and support your demise. If we in Britain are constantly lied to by our corrupt and manipulative politicians other peoples have no chance. Don't believe their lies. Serbs are still shown in a bad light, only this week there was a programme on ITV supposedly reporting on 20 years after Bosnia's 'concentration' camps, same old bull.... I am thoroughly ashamed of our media and politicians.

Whether there are actually new conditions or not for Serbia is a moot point, notwithstanding what this guy says. There may well be since EU insiders like the German electorate must be fed up by now of being expected to bail out their financially more recalcitrant EUers, ie. enlargement fatique. And the streets of the current candidates for EU membership, including Serbia, are far from being paved in gold.

What is undeniable however is that, since 1999, there has been new conditions FOR THE EU ITSELF ...... the EU economies were apparently on a roll back then, and the trials and tribulations of Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, France (or at least its banks) and, belatedly, Italy and its DEMOCRATIC government's attempts to get the Chinese COMMUNISTS (of all people!!!) to buy its bonds ..... these are NEW conditions in the EU itself today that did not exist back in 1999!

And do these new conditions inside the EU viz-aviz 1999 make this bloated bureaucracy more attractive .... or less??? -- I'm asking this question only to those EU wannabes with SENSIBLE governments (do they exist at all?).

Objectively, I'm not sure whether Tadic's government would qualify as "sensible". His administration might not get reelected should Serbia not make "progress" in her EU candidature. So, from his own personal point of view, it might, for reelection purposes, be a sensible thing to continue to delude his electorate with the myth of the EU as the El Dorado.

Who cares what this guy says.

Everyone just keeps saying the same things it's not even newsworthy.

The EU probably won't exist in 2019.
