“That is an illegal and illegitimate action and neither the (UN) secretary general nor the UN Security Council support it,” Jeremić stressed.

Was Vuk appointed as spokesman for the Security Council ?! I did not see any resolution or presidential statement which said what Vuk says.

While UNSC Resolution 1244 is clear as to Kosovo being a Serbian province, the West do not let internatinal law get in the way of their foreign policy objectives.
(Michael, 17 September 2011 02:12)

1244 is also clear that Kosovo's UDI is in accordance with 1244. West's policy objective of supporting Kosovo's UDI is in accordance with international law because Kosovo's UDI is in accordance with interntional law. Everything is covered my friend :)

Serbia needs to understand which countries are committed to dismembering it, and which are committed to preserving its territorial integrity. While UNSC Resolution 1244 is clear as to Kosovo being a Serbian province, the West do not let internatinal law get in the way of their foreign policy objectives. When Serbia wakes up, it will realize its allies are in BRIC and NAM. The EU as we know it will not exist in ten years.

I used to like Jeremic. Reading his latest quotes and ineptitude as a FM of a nation...it is clear he is an idiot. To say that the UN does not support Pristina is ridiculous? Who does it support Belgrade? Why is he not doing the job of a statesmen and build concensus, relationships, etc...so he doesn't appear to just be barking like a lone wolf all the time. It is depressing to read and watch. Serbia needs stronger and more competent leadership. THese guys are clowns.

What is really confusing is why they are accepting (again) Kosovo customs officers at Merdare but blocking the roads at Gates 1 and 31 over the same thing.

Don't try it now. This was a Russian orchestrated event and they tried to say look the pandora's box, but no one even remotely would connect the dots so even Russia quit saying it. There was to be a domino effect with every searatist group in the world.

@toknok... Although it is unfortunate that a fellow police officer was killed (mainly at the hands of power hungry Thaci) I am still waiting for justice to be served for the Doctor that was killed last year by an Albanian Terroist from Little Bosnia in Mitrovica. Funny how the whole world wants to track down this "Serbian Killer" because of an ignorant move by your terrorist leader Thaci, yet nobody in the International Community wishes to apprehend the Albanian Terrorist that killed the Serbian Doctor... Oh wait...its because he is Serbian...

Serbia goes to UNSC about their organ trafficking claims and that Eulex cannot do the investigation it must be done by a "new UN mandate"-Eulex is in charge of the investigation.
Serbia goes to UNSC with claims that Albanians trying to establish justice in the north will destablilize the WORLD.-No official reaction.

I am seeing a trend here, maybe Serbia should focus on issues that really play an important role in the lives of Serbians and solve their own problems.

Basically as long as the crossings are blocked, all goods coming into Kosovo must come through customs controlled checkpoints. I think that is called checkmate and it could not have been done without the help of the Serbians!

While I think that what was said and what is reported to have been said is probably light years apart I would like to remind everyone that daily it is posted here that as far as Kosovo goes it does not matter if 150 countries support UN membership as long as Russia does not it will not get in. Now we also see that no matter how many support the propaganda flowing from Serbia as long as US, France, and UK do not, nothing will happen.

I think that more or less what happened is that the majority of countries said that they supported the continuation of dialogue between the 2 parties. However without changing 1244, Kfor and Eulex are acting within their mandate and it does not matter what the "majority" of the UNSC thinks they cannot change the mandate without support of ALL "5".

Resuming EU sponsored negotiations with Pristina in Brussels with a business as usual attitude, only encouraged the Albanians to pursue their maximalist agenda. Tadic's government was so terrified of being seen as responsible for disrupting talks, and thus derailing the obssesive EU accession process, that they are in fact beginning to look weak. After their US sponsored botched raid north in July the Albanians should have been told in no uncertain terms that negotiations were over, irrespective of what the EU or anyone else thinks. The Serbs were in a position of strength. The Tadic regime needs to show some spine. Northern Kosovo is the only piece of the province left to salvage. It's become a symbolic issue. And at the moment the only ones fighting for Serbia's interests are the Serbs there on the ground, and on their own land.
