U.S. envoy has "personal interest" in Kosovo highway
U.S. Ambassador in Priština Christopher Dell has "strong personal interest" in Kosovo Albanian authorities taking over control of the administrative line.
Whatever the motives, I can't understand why there is so much venom coming from some of the posters here.
A highway is being built that goes from Serbia, straight into Albania. That's a positive thing if you think in terms of increased commerce and economic activity between Serbia, Kosovo, and Albania. Dell's alleged "personal interest" in the highway, does not change that fact.
In my book, this highway is a negative only to a blind, nationalistic moron.
No border change ?
The albanians and NATO bombs have changed serbian borders.

The north of kosovo for recognition is the best solution.

Because only US officials in rotten and corrupt states (like Iraq, Kosovo...) are corrupt - adapting to local habits to survive, see below. Furthermore, honorable US citizens simply wouldn't go to those countries.
This guy, Dell, is a typical crook and mercenary for the empire. He is trying to build a highway, where all the money goes to his buddies at Bechtel (and a big cut into his own pocket), and he wants to pay for this highway by selling off Serbian assets, such as the Telecommunications. For further information on just how the American empire works, and crooks like Dell operate, this is an excellent book:

It will not work, because what belongs to Serbia can not be sold, and whoever is stupid enough to buy it will get sued. Furthermore, when the American empire is bankrupt and collapses, which is coming soon, Serbs will waltz back into Kosovo, and use those brand new nice roads built by Bechtel :), AND take back any industry that was illegaly sold by this this crook Dell. Just wait and see.

Its one thing to admire american movies, culture, music etc and another to disslike their politics. I'm 100% sure that most people don't have good things to say about American involvment in the world. Even albanians are not to happy about the US of A. Look at the albanian who killed US soilders in Germany or the albanians who planed an attack on a military base in the states. The Albanians trolling here mostly live in the US and Western Europe. To them, anything Albanian is noble and true and anything critical of that is Serb propaganda. Ask any Albanian in Kosovo what they think of Dell and they'll tell you he's Thaci's pimp and that Thaci loves to take it from him. Are we better off giving those facilities to the sinking titanic aka the West? Give it to the very same EU that the citizens of EU do not want to be apart of? Are you saying Serbia should choose the path of Greece, sell all of its industry to the West, take out enormous loans that it can never pay back?
I really do not know what these Russophobes expect. Everyone says you can't open your market to Russia because the EU would not like it, but what the hell does the EU have to show for itself to be a legitimate option?
Even if the EU did not support Serbophobic policies, I STILL would not support joining it because it is a all around anti democratic organization that clearly has no future. If the ones IN the EU are trying to get out, why would we try to get in?
