With reference to Londonboy's comment, I would say here is proof of how sport can break down barriers and bring people together. All of us can get behind a champion from the old yugoslavia no matter where he's from. And I think Novak's a decent bloke. I remember Ivanisevic making all sorts of nationalist rants, and it really put people off him. Anyway, the point is it's refreshing to see old ethnic prejudices being put to one side. Well done mate.
Bravo Nole! Tremendous performance! BTW, here in the US, so many Rafa fans are upset and are trying to start the steroid talk. What a bunch of sore losers!
What a fantastic way to cap off a truly successful year for Djokovic! Nadal certainly made him work for that championship and the mutual respect each had for the other was clearly felt on and off the court. Congratulations Nole for an outstanding victory and congratulations Rafa for outstanding sportsmanship!
I stayed late last night and watched the whole match.
I can only say " Oh My God " what a tennis player. That was one of the best matches I have ever watched. The guy is brilliant. To beat Nadal in that manner its just unbelievable

The scary thing is, the season is not over yet, and Nole has a great chance to add another Davis Cup to his trophy list.

The best part is that all of the players for the Serbian team have greatly improved since last season.
Bravo once again Nole for capping off the greatest tennis season by anyone in history. This is truly unbelievable, and as Nadal said last night, what you have done will never be repeated. The scary thing is, the season is not over yet, and Nole has a great chance to add another Davis Cup to his trophy list.
Its all been said before by now, but Novak is truly world class.
This isn't some player who had a few lucky breaks and won a grand slam or two on form. This is a guy who has week in week out beaten the best of the modern greats.
If he continues his name will be alongside John McEnroe, Pete Sampras and others considered the best of the best.
And to cap it all he is the best person any country could hope to have to represent them and that tennis neutrals will enjoy supporting.
