Thanks, KOSO, I started to send a similar post but ran into technical problems (not a euphemism, for once.) what utter and complete chutzpah this milosevic hack has. crime in the balkans!? hello. is he totally blind, deaf and dumb to the crime networks of his own country?? not to mention the war crimes -- and really, the 2 cannot be separated. what a load...

to call him a milosevic hack is just so obvious and redundant.

and yet, a frnd of ours (who i shall not name) told us: Oh, he's the best of the lot. can you imagine -- the best of that lot??

there is a similarity (not just the obvious) btwn this regime and the actual milosevic regime: they both are intent on dramatic, aggressive short-term tactics, but there is just no long-range vision. the world looks at these people, and thinks: hunh? you're the best and the brightest of your people??

it just doesn't fit together. maybe during the original balkan wars, when they could butcher civilians, hickelty pickelty, the war(s)/atrocities committed against civilians throughout the last century... but now? when they wish to be accepted by western europe, not just putin and co... they just don't have a clue.

@ Milica,

"Do you want north Kosovo?
Take it! But you must give something back. Are you ready to give Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac for north Kosovo? Are you?!"

Questions for your way of thinking?
1. What are Kosovo Albanians willing to give Serbia for Kosovo?
2. How much is 10908KM sq of land mass worth today on the open European market? Can the Kosovo government and it's people afford to buy that land?
3. Can you please provide a reference or link that illustrates a referendum that took place in Serbia (which includes Kosovo - kosovo serbs and kosovo albanians) that shows a majority vote of people stating that they wish for Kosovo to break away from Serbia? I per say cannot find a link or reference to such a referendum. I could be wrong but it might be because it doesn't exist.

Something that actually is a little funny, is the fact that people think that they can bargain with something that isn't actually theirs only i.e. Kosovo.

If one was to apply your way of thinking i.e. Kosovo declares independance from Serbia with no referendum from the whole country then North Kosovo should have no problems in breaking away from south Kosovo. But of course this would not be suitable to you, Kosovo Albanians, Kosovo government and the foreign governments that were so quick to recognise Kosovo as a country. It begs the question why these people and foreign governments think that it would be acceptable to an actual country that has borders, constitution and a rule of law for this to be acceptable!

Another question I have for you and I am very interested in what other people think:
1. How quickly do you think that the first 10 countries that recognised Kosovo as a country, would be at recognising a region of their country that broke away and declared unilateral independance?
2. Do you believe that they would be accepting of such a move and not have any issue with this?
3. Do you think that they would protect their countries integrity in terms of constitution and borders?
4. Should a country that has a defined constitution (created by two of the worlds super powers) with defined borders be forced to accept the disintergration of their country by breaking countless UN laws, country laws and world court laws?

@Milica-Yes Milica, we are all aware that Serbia is surrounded by countries that kiss western but, in order to get some candies. Believe me, that does not make them very shiny stars in anyone's eyes.

As far as giving one part of Serbia for another part of Serbia to terrorist organization in Pristina, is little funny to me. Serbs are the only people that did not want the war in former yugo, but somehow western propaganda machine w/their little helpers in Balkan managed to put all blame on Serbs. It is obvious why.

It's good to hear a Serb talking this way. The way Serbs have been slapped around lately by everybody else it's way over due. But why is it Serbia's problem to find a solution to the problem of Albanian run Kosovo? Serbia didn't create the problem. Just because they haven't been able to successfully confront the problem doesn't put the problem at their feet. Look how easily Albanians in Kosovo have blamed the Serbs for all their problems and applied their baseless complaints with violence too. The Serbs keep on willing to be talking and why? There is nobody to talk to in Pristina. But any effort is better than nothing and makes it that much harder for the "international community" to scapegoat the Serbs for the problem of Albanian run Kosovo.

Not only slap someone, if you had the power, you'd want to kill someone or a couple of million Albanians, but the fact is you lost the war just because of this violent behavior. People want to live free and with local representation, whether in Kosovo or Northern Kosovo etc the same standard applies. Eventually, borders will become irrelevant, and business competition will be the main driving force.

C'mon, what a disgrace to say something like this. Have these people any clue of public speaking? And what does he expect to achieve by slapping someone one anyway? Let's say he slaps US ambassador, and then what! Will Mrs. Mary change her view about Serbia and Kosova?
What's next? Will he have the urge to kick someone or spit someone or scratch someone? How about f... someone?

I would urge his body guards to stay away from him. He seems unstable.

Sorry Gospode - Your Government has no solution on Kosovo.

“The issue of Kosovo is not the problem of this generation alone, but rather a whole range of generations whose ideas in hindsight proved inefficient,” Dačić said.

Therefore, politicians should not strive for being the authors of “a fairy tale”, but rather pursue a policy grounded in reality, Dačić concluded.

Comment -

As you pointed out - Arms are comming to Pristina from Albania.
You and Your Government should organise an Exodusplan of all Serbians from Kosovo in order to save their lives.

You know what I wish I could do? I'd love to sit at a table with people from both sides and hear exactly what everyone wants, no holding back. Then, after acknowledging everyone's feelings and frustrations, I'd say let's find a just and realistic solution. I'd bet anything that we'd find one. Now, however, what we have is international politics with interests beyond any normal Serbian or Albanian person's comprehension, governing events. Everyone does and says very divisive things that inflame people. When people feel injured, and backed into a corner, they fight back. We need to stop all the provocative statements and talk as normal people. Albanians want to live in peace. Yes there are criminals who want to steal their own people's futures, but that's not everyone. Serbs want peace, and yes there are criminals amongst the Serbs who have other initiatives that cause people harm. If we could just forget the international community and make a true compromise, everyone would get something better than what they have now, which is nothing. Right now, Albanians are slaves to the US and Germany, and Serbs are slaves to the EU. Let's forget all these people and fix Kosovo for good. And, no, I'm not naive; I know what happens behind the scenes but I think it's time to marginalize the real thugs here.

We know Dacic, we all want to slap someone because of the frustration we face. The international community - namely the UK, German, France and the US are contributing to the lunacy over KiM.

Nobody in the international community are looking at Kosovo as a whole region and asking themselves; why doesn't the (fake) government in Pristina fix up the other areas of the province before they want to control the North which doesn't even inhabit its people (ethnic Albanians)?

How about the international community do something practical and fix the poverty & corruption in all other areas of Kosovo before trying to take MORE land away from Serbia?

K.Albanians should stop STEALING other people's land and go HOME to Albania. Kosovo is NOT your country and never will be. That is why more people in the UN have NOT recognised you! "The story about transfers of cigarettes and oil via northern Kosovo is nothing compared to the story about other crossings, where weapons and bombs pass, where, in other words, much a more dangerous type of smuggling is taking place," Dačić said, commenting on "excuses given by the international community" about why "the problem of crime must be solved in the north".

A valid point. As long as drug smuggling is flourishing in (south) Kosovo, Europe's main hub for drug trafficking, this should be considered a more serious problem than 'fuel smuggling' and 'food smuggling' in the north.

A valid point. As long as drug smuggling is flourishing in (south) Kosovo, Europe's main hub for drug trafficking, this should be considered a more serious problem than 'fuel smuggling' and 'food smuggling' in the north.

"We are a cultured people..."

No no no sir. The average Serbian taxpayer is a cultured person you guys (Serbian government) on the other hand have brought to the world hit-wonders such as:

1) Srebrenica, Bosnia
2) Racak, Kosovo
3) Jashari Massacre / Drenica, Kosovo
ETC ETC

Should I even go on about the parallel structures, interfering in Bosnia, etc ?

Thanks,

Hey Ivica, have you heard what US Ambassador Dell said today? No, wonder, you made that statement yesterday about hand full of customs and border police are no threat to Serbia. As for wanting to slap someone, why don't you start slaping your own self first!?

Mr Dacic, with such a face I would certainly start with myself.

You always need to come back to violence. Typical Serbian Style (= I guess this is what you meant with cultured people).

Funny.
The issue is:
Do you want north Kosovo?
Take it! But you must give something back. Are you ready to give Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac for north Kosovo? Are you?!
That's the point. Nothing is for free.
Serbs lost all wars of last 20 years. All of them. Stop crying!
What is lost is lost.
Serbia lost on international court about the independence issue. Stop crying. You did it and you lost.
You destroyed ex-Yu. You started all wars in balkans and you lost all of them.
Just release that you have no friends around you. Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Hungary, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia. Nobody like you. Nobody love you. Ask yourself why.
Because you are so f---- special? Do you really think so?!
Milica.

SLOVENIA, CROATIA, BOSNIA, KOSOVO... great culture! Just like Attila was a "cultured person"...

P.S.: Don't worry, this statement alone is makes you look "crazy and stupid"...

True colors of Ivica Dacic are coming out. I wonder who he would want to slap... My first guess would be Jeremic for putting Serbia through too many adventures for the last 2-3 years since Kosovo's Independence or... even Milosevic who tried to make Greater Serbia but in fact lost every single thing and now his followers have to deal with all what he lost.
I am happy that Montenegro finally got out of Serbia's hands whose politicians say that they would want to slap someone. What a shame.

I'm sorry but every time I read this statement it makes me smile. He wants to slap someone? A member of national parliament and a minister, the man has the urge to slap someone?
C'mon, what a disgrace to say something like this. Have these people any clue of public speaking? And what does he expect to achieve by slapping someone one anyway? Let's say he slaps US ambassador, and then what! Will Mrs. Mary change her view about Serbia and Kosova?
What's next? Will he have the urge to kick someone or spit someone or scratch someone? How about f... someone?

I would urge his body guards to stay away from him. He seems unstable.
God help him and them :)

He is basically saying that because there are problems elsewhere, the Serbs should hold the right to engage in whatever criminal activity they want in the north. Genius. You just slapped the people who voted for you.

For all you Albanians calling him "violent"....what's more violent a slap, or cutting out organs and torturing people?
(Marko, 12 September 2011 18:13)

The answer is a slap. The other one is just a lie fabricated by Dacic and his friends.

Kosovos future is not in this Serbian Governments hands.

Here is the big mistake that Serbs make.
They think that they are better ,smarter, superior, strong ectr. than others(in this case Albanians).
Sir, somehow you are right, no one wants to listen to Serbs now,but don't forget that Albanians wanted to negotiate since 80s and Serbia answered with tanks and all that we already know.
Serbia keep talking, others are doing what it must be done.
