Regarding the negotiations: Who is blocking them? Except for the K-Serbs, who are weakening Belgrade's position every day, who does?
(Bloody Mary, 14 September 2011 11:51)

Well, the Serbian side has repeteadly said that they want to solve things with dialogue, even today at the UN security council there will be an apeal for calm and talks. On the other hand, the Albanian side always says that they will take the north by force, that it is their right to do so etc..
I don't think that shows alot of will to negotiate.

Hash, needs to understand one thing, if he insists on controlling the north it is going to cost him a lot, not only speeking of violence, but also economicly. Is it worth it? Does he HAVE the money to oppress the serbs in the north? Will EU finance him in the long run?
After all, Pristina isn't London, or atleast doesn't have Londons economy to be able to oppres a minority. I belive that Nothern Ireland is just an economily burden for London, but still they atleast have the money to put there. Pristina doesn't.

Srboslav, of course I compare you Serbs to the Brits.

Ireland was oppressed by the Brits for centuries. The Irish language and culture were assimilated. It took a boody war of independence, led by Michael Collins, whom the Brits labelled a terrorist, to free the majority of Ireland from foreign rule. The north of Ireland is still occupied.

If you don't want to see these similarities...

That's the reason why you have lost Kosovo. And you shouldn't compare yourself with the Irish. If you insist on a comparison: You were the Brits. Your paramilitaries behaved in the same way the Black and Tans did.
(Bloody Mary, 13 September 2011 14:40)

Ireland has part of its territory stolen = Northern Ireland
Serbia has part of its territory stolen = Kosovo

Black and Tans killed innocent people in Ireland
UCK / KLA killed innocent people in Kosovo

Maggie Thatcher liked to surpress minorities in Nothern Ireland
Hashim Thaci likes to surpress minorities in Kosovo

And you still compare the Serbs to the English??

But enough of the history, look at the present, peace only came to Nothern Ireland after a NEGOTIATIONS, do you think peace will come to Kosovo by any other way?

Bloody Mary

A minority people can not be surpressed in the long run, neither in Northern Ireland, nor in Kosovo.

The British army in Crossmaglen is nothing else than a provocation to the Irish that lives there, just the same as the failed attemped of taking over the North would be if the Kalbos would try again.

I am aware that the Brits left Crossmaglen, but why did it take 30 years and more relevantly, for what use were they were in the first place?
I hope that Hashim the police murderer learn something from the Brits and are not repeating their misstakes. A minority people can not be surpressed in the long run, neither in Northern Ireland, nor in Kosovo.

Ok, I get it:
Ian Paisley = K-Serb "businessmen"
Ulster Volunteer Force = K-Serb snipers, arsonists etc.

"The world will see what the Protestant people really think of this so-called peace process, which is really a surrender process."
Ian Paisley

Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
(Bloody Mary, 12 September 2011 15:34)

No, rather:

Hashim Thaci = Maggie Thatcher
Royal Ulster Constabulary, RUC = ROSU
Crossmaglen =North Mitrovica

Need I explain further that I support a unified Ireland and that the Brits are occupying another countries territory?

Sorry for hijacking this thread but its worth mentioning that the situation in Northern Kosovo will be very much like the situation in southern Northern Ireland during the troubles. Specially in Armagh county, that reminds me of north of Ibar.
How succesful were the English there.....? Probably the same as the Albanians will be in the north :-)

Lenard, I think you must have mistakenly picked up the dictionary today instead of your usual Bible.

Proof that some people really do judge a book by its cover!

The look on Vuk's face worth a million Serb dinars. Vuk saying to him self look at that smug Croatian Gordan. If he only had to work with Serb BS I have to work with day in day out with no results. Gordan would not be smiling then maybe I should revert back to being a Bosnian then I can smile again and look myself in the mirror ,the Vuk consternation saga continues. Main Entry: consternation
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: dismay, distress
Synonyms: alarm, amazement, anxiety, awe, bewilderment, confusion, distraction, dread, fear, fright, horror, muddle, muddlement, panic, perplexity, shock, stupefaction, terror, trepidation, trepidity, wonder

If people really think that relations between Croatia & Serbia will improve they really don't understand balkan politics at all. Just as you start moving forward someone mentions Jasenovac or Vukovar and it's back to square one again..Reconciliation will never happen..It's a mini belfast out there.!
