The Lord of the Dance speaks again giving us a piece of his mind – not too big I hope because there is not much there to give.

I have been to the US so many times I have lost count and I have seen the sections of the US that most people never see including people like you. To compare Serbia to the US is stupid to say the least as they are different in so many ways including the size of their respective economies and population etc and the fact that the US economy was not destroyed by an enemy, but they did it themselves. There is no point in dealing with people like you seriously because all the blurb coming out is the usual crap about freedom and democracy and the US lives better and its the best in the world.

Perhaps you might enlighten us all with you in depth knowledge of the current situation of cities surrounding the great lakes or maybe the places along the Mississippi basin or for that matter the current financial situation of California or Rhode Island both of which were the wealthiest Sates in the US.

The fact that even the US Agriculture stated about 2 years ago that up to 80 million live on one meal a day. I know Serbia’s economic state and that there is poverty, but its obvious that you have no idea what is actually going on in the rest of the world.

People such as sj attempt to speak with authority yet have never been to the USA. People in the USA, even in the worst of times, live far better than people in Serbia in the best of times. I have lived in both countries for extended periods of time.

sigh, poor dacic.

symbolic or not, a security issue or not.. NO ONE is asking the republic of serbia its opinion. The republic of serbia has no say in the matter. That is all.

They can however denounce the violence committed by serb criminals and stop funding illegal institutions. Or show their true colors. That is all.

serbias capitulation regarding customs in the hopes that things could go back to the way they were before is yet another dashed hope. There is no going back.

and the constant propagandist streams of b.s. coming from the serbian govt. that should serbs resort to violence, it will be the responsibility of anyone But the serbs that resort to violence... is the same craven, bizzare leap of logic that usually gets serbs in trouble in the first place. It never works. ever.

By reducing customs officers to being merely symbolic is such a pathetic turn of events... an impotent and irrelevant govt. dadic just trying to make things easier to swallow.

the one and only problem the foreign govt. serbia has with kosovo customs officers at kosovos own borders...is the reality of it.

Thank you for your sincere wishes.

It is always tricky with the ruling government. The Serbs too are accepting a government that feed them with baseless hopes that it is possible to attain both Kosovo and EU membership. But what can we do.

Hopefully in next elections will produce better governments for both sides.

I agree with not rushing with the issue of the status. There is no turning back to Serbia borders, simply because you are not willing and able to integrate us and we are too many to be submitted by mere force.

Until you are convinced about this, it will take some time and we have no other choice but to wait. But see, we have waited 90 years under occupation, so we can as well wait a few more years in freedom.

What Ivica Dacic has said is correct in that posting these Albanian goat herders dressed as customs officer is not a security issue but one of territorial integrity.

It is also true that Thaci believes that now is the right time for a move to “cement” the so called independence of Kosovo by placing these goat herders to collect customs tax for the Pristina thieves as Serbia is looking towards getting into the EU.

The US/EU and Thaci have very badly miscalculated on a couple of fronts.

The first is this business of joining the EU – now if you recall that in 2009, 2010 and as recently as May, July and mid August 2011 Tadic was blaring away that Serbia was going to get the green light from the EU by December this year. However, recently the truth came out in that the earliest that Serbia can even think of joining is 2019/2020 and that is only if it recognises Kosovo.

Anyone that is or has been involved on the political side of any government machinery would be able to tell you that after such a statement the pro EU numbers amongst the populace would sink faster than a rock in a swimming pool. It simply appears that Tadic has lied to the people of Serbia all along. No amount of counter statements/propaganda is going to paper over the truth as the “cat is out of the bag”.

Secondly, if the EU/US were not in such an economic bind I would agree that they would have Serbia over the proverbial barrel in that there would be no more money as they would have been throwing it around like a drunken sailor on a Saturday night after pay day in previous years.

The EU, like the US, is in a much more critical financial situation than the politicians or bureaucrats would like to admit, but a day does not go past without some new drama over currency, debt or attempts to claw their way out of the so called recession they are in. For the EU, Greece is rearing its head again and there is now even more concern from people that have EU bonds and their value if things get worse – this one comes from the investment bankers.

The US is about to spend around 350 billion on “kick starting the economy” or bring back Larazus from the dead. Every US economist that I have seen interviewed, and even those which support the current administration, say the same thing in that it is a waste of time and precious money. They are also privately pessimistic about the future and admit that the US is and continues to be in a Depression greater than the one in the 1930s.

We even have the old western relic, the G7, calling for Chinese help in floating the Yuan.

What we have in Kosovo is now just blind determination by the US, but they have no power to fulfil that dream. Two wars lost and looks like they have also stuffed up Libya in that they have brought to power Islamists LOL, LOL, they are just going around and around in ever diminishing circles.

Even if there is one Albanian police officer at that check point it's capitulation and you know it.
It only takes one to oversee the procedures and cause problems so don't tell us that you have not capitulated.

I am disgusted at people like you and the election can't come soon enough.

How do you K.Albanians support a government that doesn't help you (citizens)?

I'm not really worried about the status of Kosovo at present because in due time it will be placed within the borders of Serbia where it belongs.

You guys will have to get Serbian passports just like how you Albos treat the Serbs in Albania.

Maybe not this year, maybe not next year, maybe not even in 5 years; but just don't get too comfortable with you "Kosova" because you'll see in the near to medium future things will be very different and Kosovo will be rightfully returned to Serbia.

I wish you all the best anyway.

I wonder if Serbia is going to "symbolically" send Serbs from elsewhere in the country to jointly patrol the customs border with the southern province. If the Serbs are going to give up Kosovo, do it and save everyone the headache. Enough with the small steps towards allowing the Albos the opportunity to set up their own borders. The Serbs in North Mitrovica don't need any antagonistic "symbolism".

Just wandering why there are no Serbian policemen at the "administrative crossing"...as a symbol of "Kosovo je Serbia or northern Kosovo je Serbia"? Sorry for not using the cyrilics....)

Mr Dacic.. Why do you call it administrative check point. Come and cross the as so called ¨Line¨ from Kosova to Montenegro..I don't think you would be calling it ''Administrativ line '' There is a proper border...

For once Dacic is right, and anybody in right mind knows that border police and custom officials are in no way a threat to a neighboring country. These two components are a big threat to criminals and big time smugglers. That is all fellows. I take it Dacic knows what is coming, and that is why he made such a statement.
I think Dacic is following Cedo, since both statement are same but written differently.
