A panel discussion was held as a part of the Serbia-EU Forum in Belgrade Friday. Aside from Serbian and EU officials, regional officials also took part in it.
“I want to point out that Croatia does not intend to use any unsolved bilateral problems in order to stop progress of any country that is following our footsteps,” the Croatian foreign minister stated....
...after which statement he put a hand in front of his mouth and said "suckers" through a cough...
The region has no future without the EU?? That is very silly and extreme language. There is no guarantee that the EU will exist in twenty years, given its current issues and its absence of political will to fix its critical malfunctioning. Even half of Croatian citizens are not in favor of joining. Serbia had better figure out that where the EU is concerned, the bigger powers are playing them like fools. It needs to also figure out that its real allies are to be found in BRIC and NAM.

My question to deputy Prime Minister is how much more national humiliation Serbia will have to endure in order to start EU membership negotiations to join a club which is on the brink of collapse?Certainly the deliveries on plate of Karadzic,Mladic and the embrace of gay Pride parades won't be enough to satisfy the EU elites by any stretch of the imagination.My guess is the icing on the cake will be the demand by the 4th Reich for the official recognition of the narco-state of Kosovo and i think Madam Merkel has made this demand clear to Tadic.
Why doesn't the Serbian political elite see what is happening in Greece and draw some lessons?The EU is facing a long, slow painful death starting with the periphery and ending with the centre.The Euro project was doomed from the get-go. It was nothing but a foil to impose neoliberalism upon an unsuspecting and gullible public. It was undemoratic governance perpetrated by technocrats in the sevice of a highly privileged elite.
Well this is awkward...the EU has no future period.
Joining no organization can mean life or death I'm sorry. It's just everyone who attends these meetings are actually paid to by the EU so thus have to glorify it.
