I don't know about that sj. When I first went to Belgrade, i knew many people making around 600 euros. Now I know 1 person making that and everyone else is fighting for a 300 euros job. Also, it was normal (for a foreigner) to pay 600 euros for a nice flat. Now, those same flats are renting for 400.

So, from my personal perspective Serbia has gone quite a bit downhill in the last 3 years, and I predict more bad news.

if Europe is bankrupt, what does that make Serbia?

Same as it was a week ago or even 3 years ago, but I can tell you this much, that very loud thud you hear will be the EU collapsing while at least Serbia does not have any further to fall.
I’d be more worried about my living standards in the EU and Us than worrying about Serbia.

Uhhrrr duurrr, the regime will just tell the Serbs "there is no alternative to the EU", and that will be their solution how to deal with this crisis - this one stupid sentence.

Serbia could establish a service sector for outsourcing customer service services to European companies at a cut-rate and take advantage of the crisis.

never gonna happen, though
