The statement that Serbia does not have to recognize Kosovo for entrance to the EU is completely correct. However, Serbia does have to have normal neighborly relations with Kosovo, stop interfering with Kosovo, and close its parallel institutions in Kosovo.

So, it does not have to recognize Kosovo, but it does have to peacefully coexist with Kosovo as an independent country and cooperate with it when necessary.

There is really nothing new here. Everything is the same information that has been out there for the past several years, just slightly restated for better understanding.

NOOOOOOOO, this cant be true, Hashim Thaci said it himself that that was a requirement for Serbia, I have read it in Koha Ditore, and they don't lie, everyone knows that ;-) (I am still waiting for Russias recognition, that was also in Koha Ditore)

Did you read what Ivica Dacic said today about Kosovo recognition? Read it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I simply hate it when I see headlines that imply Serbia doesn't have to recognize Kosovo for EU membership. We ALL know that is NOT the case- so WHY even bring it up anymore??? This is an outright lie by the EU and their spokespeople, so why waste people's time by publishing it and trying to give their comments some "credibility". Politics should be for the "good of the people", and not to disseminate half-truths and confusing lies. When the politicians really have new ideas to solve our problems, THEN they should be given credibility by reporting it- otherwise, ignore their stupidity and just let them blow their hot air- and try to fool or convince themselves of their lies!
