Not the E.U. integrations are important but the quality of the leadership and their strategy in general.
Ask people in Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Greece how happy they are with E.U. integrations.
Than ask people in Poland which rapidly develops now. Than ask people in Iceland. Than in Taiwan.

Triviality: "E.U. integrations" are often the best for the crooks who benefit from them. You need to decide about the crooks first. Without that the "E.U. integration" will bring disaster for guaranteed.

I am looking at my "E.U. integrated" utility bills, the price of public transportation... and that the same crooks "somehow" forgot to pass the E.U. benefits to the citizens, only the burdens did get passed down.

What are you talking about? EU countries dont need to make decidions about Serbia joining EU if serbian citizens dont want to be part of EU thats it, end of story, no joining negotions with EU in the future, only good relations. Look at the statistic or ask people on the street what they think about EU.

Mr. Nikolic, Europe and USA decide not the Serbian people if Serbia can join the EU and their answer, even after you have recognized Kosovo and abolished Republic Srpska, will be no way jose, we already got too much Romanians and Bulgarians over here, maybe if you hand over the rest of your sovereignty to the IMF we will think about it...

My previous comment is from the perspective of the Great Atlantic Powers (USA, Germany, France, UK) and of a larger part of the European populace who have no desire for European Expansion and because of the rising populism among politicians in Europe, the populace will have a say in this matter.
