There seems to be a lot of self proclaimed Nostradamuses around here.. does your Albanian/American history help you foresee the future or are you really looking into a crystal ball? Because unless you have some better reasons why you think Kosovo won't be in Belgrade's control then nobody is listening to you.

Serbia would be shafted in the EU - even if it ever made it. They are hypocritical and full of double-standards. They only want what is worst for the Serbian people to help the non-Serbs and their agendas. Certainly they want to promote the EU in Serbs' minds because if Serbs want to get in then Serbs and Serbia are their slaves and do their bidding.

Serbs need to give up on being in the EU and just do the best for itself independently. Just decent trade and travel deals while fostering better relations with non-EU countries.

As much as dislike some of Tadic's policies, I think that his Kosovo+EU campaign had to run its natural course. Now the Serbian populace is coming face to face with the reality that they will most likely be forced to choose one or the other. The hypocrisy and lies that the EU has shown should serve as a wake up call, and the inevitable result is the changing of the political landscape. I don't foresee Tadic and his party enduring beyond the next election. There have been simply no benefits to his platform. All of the reforms, arrests of military veterans and general skullduggery is leading to a mini Serbian style treaty of Versailles. History will have different versions on who completely destabilized the balkans, but the results will be the same. Stand firm Serbia, and think long term.

"Your beloved USA used to recognise Taiwan as independent but changed their mind when it was in their interest to do so. Why do you think they are not letting you to have basic foundations of an independent country like a proper army for example?
(Teslavio, 27 August 2011 16:53) "

Oh, another epic analogy - comparing Serbia with China! That is a very "educated" view!

As far as letting Kosovo have an army - it is obvious that the parties involved in assisting with resolving the issue of Northern Kosovo have a little hope that Serbia will at least implicitly agree to Kosovo's independence (based on the Ahtisaari plan), with a condition that Kosovo is demilitarized.

However, it appears like the third party's patience is running out, and it is only a matter of time before the Ahtisaari's plan is scrapped. This will allow creation of Kosovo's Army, and even a referendum for Kosovo's unification with Albania.

Don't need the stinking recognitions then!

So, take what is offered, and don't make the mistake you made in Croatia.

Individuals like you make everyone sick, Serb or Albanian.

If you are insinuating for more ethnic cleansing and genocide, bring it on. I am sure you will only need your two hands to count all of your supporters.

“As far as parallel institutions are concerned, we only made it clear to the German side that those institutions are the ones elected by the citizens, that those institutions have democratic legitimacy,” he stated.

So let me understand that if institutions are elected by citizens are democratic and legitimate does that conclude that Kosovo is Independent as Albanians in Kosovo have elected and do not want anything to do with Serbia?

Or is this only if Serbs elect as they are the only true people in Balkans? Stop with this twist twist all you want you know No Serb, Albanian is buying this lets start talking how to solve issue of nort with best solution and you stop wasting 450M$ which I am sure Serbs in the north are not getting it but you and your ppl are stuffing your pockets.

Please lets find a solution that is acceptable for both if u want to split give Preshevo valy if EU says no change in borders lets find solution for north and move on 12 years and same policy in the ground.

You are so wrong Agim, overwhelming majority of Serbs, both educated and uneducated, know that Kosovo has not gone anywhere. Maybe that is a big part of the problem for you Albanians and some part of international community to understand. Maybe if you knew that Serbs would never accept the loss of Kosovo then a just solution would be found by now. As it stands Kosovo is not going anywhere. And please, don't mention recognitions, most if not all are just pretending to have recognised you for whatever reason and will just as easily change their mind when the time is right. Your beloved USA used to recognise Taiwan as independent but changed their mind when it was in their interest to do so. Why do you think they are not letting you to have basic foundations of an independent country like a proper army for example?

You are no US President, bc, when the red line was told to serbia not be crossed by Miloshevic over Kosova and he did, you know what happened to Serbia!?
Stop fulling yourself , including uneducated Serbs. I am sure majority of educated Serbs know that Kosova has gone for ever.

This decision is wise and must be respected. But for any direct dialogue between two parties misunderstanding each other, a mediator is necessary. This can only be Turkey who knows the mentality of Serbians and Albanians so well.
