God you are all so god damn racist. I've never seen so many people making negative disparaging comments on another foreign website about their race.

The two will never get along because you don't actually view anything said by a Serbian as having any truth..

You should really learn to curb the hatred because Serbians have lost many people through the wars over the years. You cannot blame Serbians for wanting to keep Kosovo because it has been theirs for so long and they have invested in it with all its resources & infrastructure etc...

You have to at least be able to see where they are coming from to understand that it's not so simple to just comment on them being dinosaurs etc.. you just come off as racists.

The facts are that Kosovo has been an integral part of Serbia throughout history & it has belonged to Serbia for the longest time. It is obvious that the majority of the population are ethnic Albanian so people should obviously see that both ethnicities have interests in Kosovo.

I just wish that they would stop being so racist & not even using their brains to consider any of the arguments the Serbs have.

"warned that “those countries can count on new lines of refugees, which they certainly do not want” if the situation in Kosovo became unstable."

Oh, the good old threat of "we're going to flood you with refugees" is back. It had disappeared from Belgrade's rhetoric for so long, now apparently it is being revived. Really, why are these dinosaurs still around?

"He stressed that Germany, Austria and Belgium were traditionally countries that many immigrants from Southeast Europe went to, and warned that “those countries can count on new lines of refugees, which they certainly do not want” if the situation in Kosovo became unstable."

Since K-Serbs would relocate to Serbia, he is obviously refering to K-Albanians. The only event that could cause "new lines of refugees" is another war in Kosovo. Translation: Accept us in the EU or there will be a new war. So much for Serbia's "European values"!

“peace in southeast Balkans should be just as important to the EU member states as the EU is important to us”

Senior figures within the DS are now going so far as to hint that peace in the Balkans may be jeopardized over Kosovo. This is a foolish move. Part of a domestic electoral strategy to try and shift perception for blame when Serbia fails to gain EU accession status, the DS are hoping that presenting the EU as responsible for the failure of Serbia to begin accession, the DS can avoid serious electoral losses.

This position will undoubtedly strengthen the LDP and make clear to educated people in Serbia who wish to leave the ghetto that there is little to separate the DS from the DSS or indeed the SNS.

The thing with peace in the Balkans is that, for some strange reason, all the conflicts in the region have involved in Serbia, a fact those in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Kosovo know all too well. The governments of the EU and NATO member states, as well as foreign, independent historians and the majority of Hague war crime cases can also attest as to which state was most responsible for past Balkan wars, and which one is again hinting at the jeopardizing of peace in the future. Sorry for those people living in Serbia who thought the years of isolation were coming to an end.
