Many people claim that Milosevic's refusal to take IMF loans was one reason foreign powers decided to remove him.
Serbia is just taking on too much debt.
Serbs need to produce and export more and turn to fair (to them) countries like Russia, Belarus, China, South Korea, etc.

As in private economy, lending money from Mafia thugs instead of somebody you can trust, with better conditions than eternal debt, is not a very good idea....
