Gaddafi could have courage - but more importantly he had stupidity and lost.
He had oil (to his bad luck), money - and he did not invest into technology and he did not have strong enough army. In the fact, the only country in the south/south-east mediterranian which has strong army + technology - but no oil is Israel. Even without U.S. support an opponent from a nightmare.

The lesson for Serbia: without Megaton + Merkava + MiG = fate of Kaddafi.

And these without serious investment in science and R&D are useless. As I recall, the first thing Djindic did was to dismantle the nukes and send them to Russia for free. Genial move.

BTW: can't say "congratulations" because most likely there will be a chaos in Libya for a while + the usual mafiosi will rape the country - but it's one S.O.B. less around.

Dony,

Serbia did resist NATO and overwelmingly beat organized criminal bandits in its southern province for 78 days and nights. The problem was that NATO was not interested in a ground attack. It would be bombing Serbia to this day from 15000 feet above and Serbia would not be able to do anything apart from copping it. IF NATO did try to enter Serbia by ground it would cost Serbia a lot in manpower but NATO would eventually lose.

Dony, in this very moments the Ghaddafi Regime falls apart. Another country liberated from the clutches of a mad dictator.

Good job, Libya, and good job NATO.
