Where did the Albanians live before moving to Kosovo (the sacred place for the Serbian people)? Will Serbia give it up. I do not think that is possible.

A clear message should also be sent to (ethnic) Albanians, in which the country would state that it wants peace with them and an ending to a historical conflict to be reached, but that they should not provoke Serbia while 'hiding behind the big brother'," Dačić said.....DUDE...R ...U..threatening ...Holly CRAB very "scary"...and u say historical conflict !!! and who made all the and get all mest up in 21 century!!!!???LOL...SRAMOTA people don't have food to eat and he is talking WAR ..he remind me Miloshevic in the 89-90....but hey.. things !!! they did change..in the ground...so "good luck" Serbia samo napred..!!!???

Serbia used war criminals indicted on genocide charges as bargaining chips - offering them state protection for decades until turning them in just when high-ranking EU officials happen to be visiting Belgrade. If they use war criminals as bargaining chips to get into the EU they should also use Kosovo as one too.

He noted that Serbia's goal was to become a member of the EU, but this was not a reason for the country to use its national interests as a bargaining chip.

what national interests are you talking about? while back you said that serbia nad albania should have devided Kosova while back, so what is your problem now? Can you guys ever get it right, or you are clueless!?

Deducing from their comments it's obvious that people here only read words, not meanings. So let's make it straight and simple: Dačić tells that Serbia cannot - and will not - buy access to the EU by recognizing Kosovo. In case the majority of EU members anyway expect wheeling and dealing happening, they will only come to notice that it's a dead end. To all three parties.

Then we can go to speculate a bit: Belgrade has noticed the status quo very favourable situation. Not losing Serbian face, not financing Kosovo (directly or as a EU member), not having to welcome a flood of K-Albanian labour, not having to welcome K-Albanians into state's political life. Instead Serbia is achieving, bit by bit, easing the road for Serbian products into European markets, making it possible for Serbian companies and institutions to get access to the EU's development projects and financial support and loans. And not to forget a very important matter: students possessing Serbian citizenship have it relatively easy to enter universities and secondary level educational institutes inside the EU.

The status quo is also the best weapon against Serbian nationalists and radicals.

Prishtina has naturally seen this development taking place, and that the state of things favours Serbia. Therefore Prishtina will see new ways to provoke Belgrade to take a side step -to which ever direction.

No rocket science here.

"Kosovo used as a bargaining chip"
How can you use a bargaining Chip that you have absolutely no control over?
It doesn't matter if you support Kosovo independence or not, the fact is that very, very few people in Kosovo follow orders from Belgrade (including the Serbs). The bargaining chip is imaginary and the EU is willing to trade for it. To not take that offer is stupid, plain and simple.

Bravo Pilatus! Exactly what you "fear" will be announced. And not only by Merkel, but from all the decision makers in the EU. I am sure in the next campain you will use these slogans and blame your coalition partners. This is a very old fashioned and discredited policy. Your job is to make Serbia safer and more democratic. When it will come to Kosovo, nobody will ask you and is not expecting from you to offer a solution. Your former boss consumed all these and the result is known.

Yada yada...what is there to bargain about anyway?

The western imposed quisling regime has succumbed to every demand and diktat NATO & €U has shoved down their throats, short of recognizing it´s southern province as a NATO/Albanian state, of course. But make no mistake, they would do that too if/when an appropriate opportunity arises.
