this man was not a nice family man they had to bring his wife and her parents in hand cuffs to testify aganiest him. he has told them he wopuld also kill them he hurt many people in the us in the 5 yrs he was here . we want justice for my husband he had a 12 yr old daughter and was a Sgt in the USAF in desert storm and still in the guard when he was killed. People who do not believe in the death pen. need to think how it would be to loose one of there own, and watch the hurt on ther childs face and relieve it every time he gets an appeal. If i went to his country and did this i never would have got all these appeals. My husband fought for the rights in this country now lets let those laws get him and his family justice, he gets 3 meals a day no bills gets an education and I the tax payer pay for that i cant even go to collage but he can. i worry about how to pay the bills and get medical when i need it but i pay for his . how is this right in america. This is how we say thank you to a us veteran? wow if your not gonna carry out his death sentence then pay my family a yr what it costs to keep him on death row over 40,000 wow ive never even made that in a yr.

I guess to Serbia the killing of my husband is just not enough. They want to put us through another trial. They say his rights were violated what about my husbands and mine and my daughters? They say he is from poverty well guess what he put us there 16 yrs ago. They say he came from a bad back ground well so did we, but we don't kill or abuse anyone. They say that they can't use what another inmate said well ok what about the car he had my husbands and what about the dna brain matter and blood he still had on his clothes and then you bash someones head in with 3 skull fractures and then turn him over and shoot him in the head that was unnessary. and he said that my husband called him a m****r F****r and in his country you will be killed for that, well he wasn't in his country and had been here 5 yrs, that man turned around and smiled and blew kisses at me in the org. trial. He under stood what he did and knows it was wrong or would not have lied or ran. and to think they said well we let the hikers go ya after 2 yrs and what did they do wrong..they tress passed they did not kill anyone..big difference..I will stand for my husband till the day i die.....and if obama gets involved then i guess we no who we should not vote for ..open to any repleys or interviews..thank you for this site..

The racism and stupidity of these comments are breath-taking. As if the ethnicity of this citizen has anything to do with Serbia's duty to defend him against the barbarism of death penalty! And as if defending Kosovo was an argument to let him die in the U.S.

Maybe you should reread the article again, B92 did an excellent job answering all of that, it just takes some people 2 or 3 times to understand it.

You are right, I did not read it in detail, too - and wasn't even thinking about the third option.
Being Roma is a strong mitigating factor in countries around for such brutal, illogical and asocial behavior.
Tough luck in Nevada.

It is ridiculous that Serbia is dealing with this now when it has really big problem at the border with Kosovo.
Even more astonishing is that media are reporting about it.
This is either a way to distract its own citizens from the real issues, either another ‘thing’ that might be useful to the government to ‘trade’ with the Americans…the second is not very likely, but who knows. Politics is really, really twisted.
The man who killed another who wanted to help him does not deserve another helping hand. He obviously does not appreciate it, moreover he punishes it. However, I disagree with death penalty in general.

Is this guy an Albanian from Serbia? Just saying...going by his name. Is that Albanian?

Either Albanian or a Jew. Regardless, probably not a nice man if he kills someone who wants to help him. If Albanian, I wash my hands. If Jew - time for me to clean an other keyboard or a toilet and say "отче наш" as a penitence three times. Both acts do end with hand washing anyway so not much difference.

I do not know the details of that crime but it seem to be some sort of idiotic cruel crime done on the spot and not pre-mediated. Wold end up with 10-15 years in Hungary or Russia, so the man would be essentially a free man now here since that time already passed.

In the States you can land up free after a double-murder and with 15 years after stealing a chocolate. That does not excuses this Albanian (or Jew) to any degree since I do not know the circumstances. If Creator does exist, he should be his judge. It was probably a very bad case but not that bad as quite some others (see the recent Macedonian case near Csepel when they buried people alive).

Well, that gang for sure would be executed (rightfully!) in the States, here they won't even get 20 years.

So if you want to do some real bad stuff, Serbia or Hungary is the place to do it, in the States the consequence is more difficult to predict and often fatal.

Tough luck for him there wasn't a corrupt embassy official around to spirit him off to Serbia. Otherwise he might have also received a hero's welcome by the Radical Party.
