Perhaps the Serbian parliament will consider a new law to make Montenegrin the national language of Serbia. That seems only fair, doesn't it?

I was always anti-communist and anti-Tito. But when I see how incredibly primitive and immature these so-called politicians are, and I mean across the whole territory of the former Yugoslavia, I think to myself for heavens sake all is forgiven Tito come back! At least the man had a vision. Yugoslavia would have joined the EU 15 years ago along with Poland and rest of them. Instead, we have something called Montenegrin. A language I've never heard of. If 44% of the population believe they speak Serbian, a language I have heard of, then that must mean that roughly 350.000 speak a language nobody's ever heard of. Excellent. Why waste time finding jobs, rooting out corruption, investing, building a civil society, when you can waste money inventing a new language just to spite your neighbours.

Wow. So almost 44% of the population says it speaks Serbian and a large part of the population is of Serbian desent. Not to mention that "Montenegrin language" is a Serbo-Croation language. An MNE is thinking it adheres to European standards? In modern Europe every minority has a right to its own language and education in its own langauge. And that is for small minorities so what about a "minority" like the Serbs in MNE which is not so minor at all. And then this rediculous claim that the orthodox church in MNE is Montenegrin, not Serbian.
Do the Montenegrin policitians want to ethnically cleanse MNE from anything Serbian?

Krivokapic should go to croatia to speak his so called language of Montenegrin . The true serbs are denied power, but nothing lasts forever, the serbs have plenty of time!!

I wasn't referring to the language question alone. After Serbia arrested Mladic and Hadzic their EU candidate status was within their grasp. Politicians in Prisina knew this and America knew this. That is the only reason Kosovo albanians decided to make a move on serb dominated areas. Crate a situation that will alter Serbias chances of EU entry. It was an act of jelousy. It had nothing to do with preserving the territorial integrity of Kosovo. Why was Kosovos borders so importand all of the sudden? Pristina must have known they could never gain control over serb areas by the use of force.
Montenegro and Kosovo are the biggest obstacles to peace in the Balkans. It will remain that way for a long time unfortunately.

With politicians like this it's no wonder much of the balkans is backward and poor. While europe is bringing down walls Montenegro and especially Kosovo is building new and bigger ones. Pathetic!

Why mention Kosova, since Albanian language is an old Indo-European language and does not fall in category of Slavic languages.
Albanian and Serb laguages are worlds apart.

What is Montenegrin language?
(Ratko, 11 August 2011 17:56)
Good question, maybe they should create a new language in NIS or Leskovac because they are harder to understand than Montenegrins.

Montenegrin is a diminuitive regional dialect of Serbo-Croatian.

What a kindergarten. Every person with some linguistic backgrounds knows that these 'languages' are more or less the same, only with different dialects. The same goes for Croatian and 'Bosnian'. The common structures/vocabulary is big enough to qualify for being the same language. For comparison: Every German dialect is more different to each other and the standard language, and still, it's all called German - even the Austrians speak German and not Austrian.

Reintroduction won't be discussed? Someone needs to tell these treasonous clowns that the language they speak is called Serbian.
What a joke they are. Comedy at its best.
