Their aim from day one when ROSU went in WAS to place the borders and checkpoints under control and this is exactly what is the current status. Just like most European borders, there are no special police like ROSU guarding them. This is why it doesnt mean anything that ROSU is not there anymore. They went in, they carried out their mission and now the borders are being controlled. Cars, trucks, buses AND trains are checked coming FROM Serbia. The export ban is still in place. This was a 100% success for Kosova and I congratulate them.

We all know how that turned out Serbia riled them up in Croatia then dropped them like hot potato heads nothing ever changes with Serbs only variance of stupidity and wasted time marching on.

I feel what you're saying and I am all for territorial integrity and souvereignity of Kosovo. However I am against seeing the columns of trucks and tractors with innocent people trying to escape from their homes where their hearts and beings should be.
I already said in one of my previous comments that I was the one who was forced to flee to Macedonia in 1999 from serbian troops and paramilitary who gave my family 10 minutes not more to leave. My father had to pay 300 DM for each member of my family at every check point to save lives until we got to the border. We had to rebuild everything when we came back starting from zero. I would like no one to experience what I had to.
The solution of this problem should be that under EULEX supervision the referendum be held where the will of the people living in north should be officially heard and properly recognized.
