Open the checkpoints to all trucks coming INTO kosovo and guarantee that the checkpoints remain open to all trucks coming INTO kosovo are Serbia's conditions for further talks.

J.B.,

Need I remind you that it is Serbia that needs to talk/negotiate with the Albanians. Therefore, the Serbs are in no position to dictate terms. The Albanians could care less if they ever spoke to the Serbs again. The borders have been sealed and will not reopen till Serbia recognizes Kosova!

Been there, seen it. Reading all of the response. One must think who I am (Kosovo residents.) Its summer time, vacation time, having some fun time. What the uprising problem that has escalated and who’s to blame... I can only think of one ethnic population, the followers of the mafia led wanabe Kosovo young generation. It’s alright to have an affair with an Albania woman from Albania, but it is a sin to have one with a Kosovo women. Kosovo people look good, but smell really bad. Throwing trash in public is a national sport in Kosovo. Who can throw the most trash from a car will get better gas mileage, less weight on the vehicle. Freedom of speech. If it exists. Do your home work and get your input stright. One might ask you elders for more information rather than making a fool of yourself.

Shows the Balkans mentality that highlights the reason why talks have never and will never produce results. It is never about making progress or making improvements for "our side", the important thing is to make things bad for the other side.

Peoples ignorance is shocking. First, Pristina initiated the chain of events that have led up to the borders being sealed off. Pristina initiated the trade embargo. The borders are still effectively sealed and the flow of goods have been stopped. Only passenger cars and buses are allowed thru. NATO has sent, not withdrawn another battalion as reinforcements to carry out and strengthen their control over the border. Pristina is not concerned with Serbs blocking their own roads.

Lets not lose sight of the main objective which was to seal the border and carry out the trade embargo. KFOR is the one setting the terms for the negotiations. Nothing has been mentioned about WHAT the negotiations are about. One can only speculate. However, currently and during these negotiations....the border is sealed.

Your Stefanovic is talking to people in Kosova with a mega phone. Is this not humiliating? In a democracy people are free to excercise their right to protest. Good thing Kosova is a democracy and the Serbs are allowed to protest...extreme protests yes, but nonetheless protest. Right now Serbian Rasberry farmers are doing the same thing to their own government! However, none of it has changed the fact that the protests are a result of the borders being sealed and a trade embargo enacted. If Serbia controlled anything....they wouldn't be having this problem. The Serbs in Kosova are an internal issue and they are being dealt with. If the Kosovar Serbs want a foreign emissary(Stefanovic and Bogdanovic) to politic on their behalf...please do so. In the meantime...get used to seeing Stefanovic shouting thru a megaphone.

Where is the famous Srdja Popovic, he who goes around the world 'training' the suppressed in forms of 'non-violent resistance'? Shouldn't he be in Kosovo helping his fellow serbs or is he having too much fun on his western sponsored tour of 'places that need to be changed'?

I hope the serbs have now finalized their plans for mass civilian mobilization for Kosovo and carry out full-scale civil disobedience. If KFOR/NATO/Eunuchs United don't return to the status quo ante, then they will be pushed into the Ibarska river, preferably after they have been stripped naked, tarred and feathered. Tadic can keep his medal for being EuroToad of the Year and take up residence in Pristina if he opposes the serbs protecting themselves.

They should also make sure to bring plenty of live media coverage and broadcast the reaction from troops of the 'international community' who continue to deny kosovo serbs their fundamental human right to life and live in safety as is afforded to them by the European Convention of Human Rights. Serbia should also take this case the ECHR (one european institution the west can't influence) taking care to point out that in action, the west has fundamentally failed to provide protection to the minorities in Kosovo and the kosovo albanians run from Pristina have made no effort. They should also take this with the very good Council of Europe (i.e. Europe's UN), again something that the west cannot bend to its wishes.

It would be interesting to see and read the west's reaction when pristina finally cleanses the remaining non-albanians from south of the Ibar...

On a final note, bring on fundamental reform of the UN which has been effectively castrated for the last twenty years. No more pasties like Koffi Annan & invisible UNSGens like Ban-Ki Moon who have proved themselves to be less than useless.
