The real argument not to bring Northern Kosovo under Albanian rule is to prevent that that region will be subject to the same soft ethnic cleansing that is going on in the south of Kosovo and very probably will result in the disappearance of the Serb enclaves in a few decades. As long as Serbia is incapable of bringing that subject into the negotiations it is negotiating from an impossible position and bound to loose.

The minister seems to believe that by being compliant he can put the blame for the problems on the Albanians and get Serbia into the EU while Kosovo stays outside. I think this is a big mistake. The recent incident is a perfect illustration how Kosovo's friends will paint even subjects where Kosovo is clearly the guilty party as Serbia's fault.

The weaker Serbia makes its position the higher the demands from Kosovo will become and the more difficult it will become to find a solution with which both sides can live.

Why dont you Serbs just put a Mickey Mouse seal on the products originating from Pristina and let them be sold in the rest of Serbia? It seems kind of counterproductive for Serbian farmers and businesses to lose $300m in export business just because $3m of Albanian exports carry a Pristina seal.Just a hint to my Serbian friends.

'Theodor' does not understand the concept of 'unanimity' with regards to Brussels decision making. There are also 27 ms in the EU and everyone and his grandmother knows that 'good neighborly relations' is BS. It clearly doesn't apply to Pristina in any meaningful manner. Hot wind does not make up for a lack of a proper meal...

Looks like that the Serbian government has started it's justifications for the failure to join the SAA.

No, Mr. Delic, it is your policy which stand diametrically opposed to 22 EU states which make it impossible to move forward in that topic. Or did you seriously believe that this "minor" difference will be put asside? How many times did officials from the EU tell you that good-neighborly ties to all in that region is a must? You put these words aside and constantly claimed that you "don't have to recognize Kosovo". Well, apparently you start to wake up from your hibernation.

This government is formed by a bunch of silly goons. It reminds me of the time when the US/West promised Serbia €1.5 billion in aid for handing over Milosevic to the Hague. Kostunica rejected this idea while seeking to try him on Serbian soil while Djindjic fell for it. After the handover of Milosevic they put another condition on Serbia for Serbs to participate in elections organised by Pristina. When that failed no money was handed over and Djindjic was assassinated with rumours stating it was the US themselves that did it.

Same thing again, hand over Mladic and your EU path will be open. Well, not quite so. Now the condition is to hand over the administrative border. Lets see what these sell-outs do. Kostunica once again has the correct policy towards KiM. Resolve that problem first and then we can talk EU membership.
