You have got to be kidding me! You are using Wikipedia to prove your point. The original document does not contain the quote in parenthesis, as a matter of fact you could have added that right before you copied it. Wikipedia is good for general knowledge but because it can be changed by any Tom Dick or Harry that has a computer it cannot be sited as factual.
The reason I said find the word province is that it was said that 1244 says Kosovo is a province of Serbia and it does not. But since you "think" 1244 somehow guarantees that Kosovo will always be a part of Serbia maybe you should read the following unaltered quote:
The Court notes that “under the terms of resolution 1244 (1999) the Security Council did not reserve for itself the final determination of the situation in Kosovo and remained silent on the conditions for the final status of Kosovo”.
An interpretation by the highest court available.

Test: Find the word province in 1244 in relation to Kosovo?

United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, adopted on June 10, 1999, after recalling resolutions 1160 (1998), 1199 (1998), 1203 (1998) and 1239 (1999), authorised an international civil and military presence in Kosovo (part of Serbia, then called the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia))[1] and established the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).[2]

Why are you looking for word” province “? You make it sound because word “province” is not mention in UNSC resolution 1244 that somehow Kosovo is not integral part of Serbia. If you notice in the above UNSC resolution 1244 it states that Kosovo is (part of Serbia). How much clearer does it have to be . I think you Albanians are trying to convince your selves that Kosovo is independent, not us Serbs. Wishful thanking. lol....

After her embassy was spat on by Serbs little Mary from the dairy is now trying to distance herself from this mess her government had made. Notice how she now hangs on to EULEX and KFOR and rule of law LOL, LOL, LOL.

Let me say that Thaci cannot go to the washroom without Washington’s approval and this current crisis is the handy work of the US in conjunction with Tadic.

Tadic was PAID to look the other way by going to Prague to get his medal and money. This reminds me of the Georgian conflict – another US blunder – where they gave their lackey the green light to take over the disputed territory. Little did the US know that the Russians were waiting for them. The same applies here in Kosovo – they thought they could take over control and it was a fait accompli and Tadic would get the green light to recognise Kosovo and go into the EU.

Once again there are Serbs in power who keep a close eye on Kosovo and look after their people’s interests.

To the Albanians I can only say that if I had allies like the US I start looking for enemies. In fact even the Serbs would not do what your friends have done to your people.

Fine! But, if Kosovo cares so much about UN1244, why all the fuzz about the 'Republic of Kosovo' custom seals, when UN1244 clearly states: Kosovo is a Serbian province under temporary UN administration? Then, 'UNMIK-Kosovo' is the correct name which suits the reality.
(Analyst, 31 July 2011 17:24)

Because the Kosovo's customs stamps are in line with 1244 and CEFTA provisions as UNMIK has repeatedly assured. Kosovo always acts in accordance with 1244.

How can Prishtina make "sovereign decisions" when it isn't even a country?? Kosovo was ,is and always will be Serbia!
(GreekPatriot, 31 July 2011 16:06)

Then how comes that Serbia's goods cannot enter Kosovo without Pristina's consent ? How comes Serb officials are stopped at the border ? In few words, how comes that the government in Pristina does not ask Serbia's approval for its decisions ?

We can play with the labeling (sovereign, country, etc...) all we want... Bottom line is that the government in Pristina does not ask Serbia what to do or not do. Whether you call that dependence or independence, sovereign or not sovereign, country or non-country, that's up to you. Labeling does not change the fact that Serbia does not control what Pristina decides.

Also, FYI, making sovereign decisions does not mean being country and viceverse being a country does not mean being able to make sovereign decisions. Ukraine was a "country" and member of UN since 1945, but it was Stalin who made the decisions, not the Ukrainian government.
