Opposition leaders take stand on Kosovo declaration
Opposition SNS party leader Tomislav Nikolić says <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2011&mm=07&dd=30&nav_id=75684" class="text-link" target= "_blank">the government's Kosovo declaration</a> doesn't envisage concrete measures it will take to resolve the crisis.
The Kosovo authorities did not implement a "violent" presence in northern Kosovo. It was a bunch of Serbian "hooligans", I think Tadic was quoted as saying, who initiated the violence that left 1 Albanian officer dead. It was the hooligans who burnt down the border crossings and fired at NATO. And the only reason the hooligans can do this is because of a lack of law and order in Kosovo, this is a failure of EULEX and it will be corrected by the Kosovo institutions. Also, Serbia can kiss its EU aspirations good-bye if Belgrade believes that a hostile border is in its interests.
