"I don't think 'those Yankees' (who export about 30 million tons of wheat per annum) would need to buy some 500,000 tons from Serbia. But you are right, China is the biggest importer, though they probably import bigger amounts from countries closer to them (Australia, Russia). Serbia could export it to Egypt, they are a big importer and close, but I don't know if they pay in 'cold hard cash' ;-)

So despite exporting so much wheat and other stuff, those Yankees are still mired up to their necks in debt .... tsk tsk tsk

"Just make sure you don't sell your valuable grain for those Yankee dollars or, worse still, to those Yankees on credit. You should sell to people like the Chinese who can pay you in cold hard cash with no strings attached.

"He stressed that Serbia needs about 1.6 million tons, which means that about 500,000 tons will be available for export."

Just make sure you don't sell your valuable grain for those Yankee dollars or, worse still, to those Yankees on credit. You should sell to people like the Chinese who can pay you in cold hard cash with no strings attached -- they should be more than happy to build up their food stockpile.
