n n zeka, we the Serbs have been telling you the same from the beginning. The Serbs in their Kosovo just want freedom and independents from the Pristina government.

Albi, as a fellow albania friend on here said, bring it on, if you want NIS or any other city in Serbia. The kalbos used up their "we're getting our ass's kicked, please help us" card. I really don't think there going to stick their neck out for them anymore. Good luck with that. Don't worry about Stllsteeling more land, worry about keeping the land you stole 12 years ago. Because its slipping through your fingers as I type this.

The message is clear from international community, Kosovo government and people of Kosovo regardless of nationality: no one really cares about you, you want to live here you have to obey the law if you don't go to Serbia or where ever you want.

Thank you.
(n n zeka, 31 July 2011 21:20)

No one thanks you for that comment. How can serbs in Kosovo respect the law when even albanians from Kosovo all the way up to the top don't? Are you belgian?

n n zeka

pre 12 godina

Serb people are no special people, few Slav tribes settled in Balkans that's all, and that was long time ago. Learn to respect your culture and others will respect you or you have to leave and go somewhere else. Serb people are behaving like spoiled children: this is mine that is mine, I don't like this I don't like that, you do this because I like it.

You know Kosovo is not populated only by Albanians, there are other nationalities too and they had enough of childish Serbian politics.

The message is clear from international community, Kosovo government and people of Kosovo regardless of nationality: no one really cares about you, you want to live here you have to obey the law if you don't go to Serbia or where ever you want.

Thank you.

“B92 did not post my lengthy rebuttal so i'll just try and say one thing maybe it gets through.

Considering the fact that your president admitted that extremist serbian criminal elements burned down the border posts; this has the effect of an admission whereas the burden of proof then shifts to the accused to prove that it was not them that committed said action. Unless the admission was made under duress or coercion, which it certainly seems that Tadic and other top serb officials were not in to make an admission, it should not be retracted. Hence my arguement that the burden of proof lies with the serbian side to prove that those hooligans were not serbs, is logical unlike your gaper.
(Dibrani007, 31 July 2011 05:28)”

“My president”???? When did I say that I am Serb, Serbian or even from the Balkans??? This is exactly what I mean when I stated that you hurl accusations and hysterics without verifying your facts – I rest my case.

And when did Tadic admit unequivocally that “Serbian criminal elements burned down the border posts”???? Can you provide the source of your allegation? Or, as I suspect, is this yet another one of your baseless accusations?

As far as I know, Tadic was quoted by B92 on July 29th to have stated that the crisis could have been the work of criminal structures in Kosovo connected both to Serbs and ethnic Albanians. Notice that he used the words “could have been” which indicated that he was not sure and, in any case, was not any admission of guilt. And he suspected both Serb AND Albanian.

And you are totally wrong again about the burden of proof. When YOU make an accusation, the onus is squarely on YOU to prove your case and not the other way round! If you don’t believe me, just ask any real lawyer in your own country. It is always the prosecution, and not the defence, who bears the burden of proof against the accused. And this you have utterly failed to do so! Remember, I'm talking about proof that will be admissible in a real court of law, not in your kangaroo court!

Dibrani007

pre 12 godina

On the contrary, the burden of proof lies NOT with the Serbs (the accused in Demi's eyes) who are innocent until proven guilty. The burden of proof lies with their accuser (ie. Demi himself/herself) to provide conclusive evidence that what he/she wrote is true. And I note that Demi has not replied with the proof that I requested for up to now.

I'm not trying to "sow uncertainty". I'm merely asking for credible proof from your side to back up what you have written. And neither you nor Demi had been able to provide any real proof other than more and more speculative accusations and hysterics.

Finally did it ever occur to you that one does not have to be a Serb or Serbian to see the gaping holes in your and Demi's so called logic?

The only thing "isolated from the west" is Dibrani's mind. It is certainly not Serbia which only a brief look at B92's new's section recounts the improving foreign investment climate in Serbia. Tick tock albos, Thaci's economic policies will make Pristina implode...
(Psychiatrist, 30 July 2011 14:54)

Thanks for the cheap shot i thrive off that stuff. But really don't you think Serbian foreign policy (and please dont bring up unrelated and exaggerated economic news into this) has hit an all time low when your president flip flops on who burnt down the border posts. First Tadic and other top officials denounced the criminal serbian hooligans who burned down the posts... then they back track and say there is no proof that those guys came from the serb side. This must of came straight out of the old Soviet handbook on foreign affairs (when it looks bad, deny deny deny). Are you kidding me, what a display of guilt by the serbs. When will Serbs begin to take responsibility for the actions of the extremist, criminal elements in their society.

the american government soon will not even be ableto pay the salaries of these soldiers occupying serbian land and will bring them home to usa. maybe thaci will offer to keep them on as his own private army but he should know that they will demand american saleries of maybe 5000 us dollars per soldier per month, not the 1200 dinars that his poor people can expect per day if they do menial labour. thaci's cabal are just as broke as obama's us government. haha

It looks like I was right. Having read several different sources and adding my own, it goes something like this.

Serbia arrests Mladic.

Pristina and Washington flesh out a plan already on the table to undermine any strengthening of serbia's position in the EU as it gets closer to getting accession. The first warning was the Netherlands buckling to neighboring pressure.

Serbia arrests Hadzic (he of moslem family name!)

The EU's last real stick against Serbia is removed. Pristina and Washington's plans go in to over drive. Europe is effectively out of the loop but their intelligence services know something is up. This is why Thachishvili does not inform the head of his own police who is not his own appointment but foisted on him by the EU to make it look like there is some sort of reform.

Thaci's cheif of police discovers shortly before the operation what is to happen and alerts EULEX, thus gets fired, sorry, according to Thaci he 'resigns', even though the official discovers this from a relative who read it on the the pristina government website.

EU goes in to panic mode, Ashton doesn't have a clue (what is new there) and London, Paris and Berlin capitals demand what the hell is going on from washington and pristina. Both delay hoping to make 'facts on the ground According to Blic who published a Quint report, it categorically condemn's Pristina's unilateral actions. Too late!

The Germans are particularly piss*d off with the US ursurping EU authority in its own back yard and even more with the ham fisted way the operation was carried out.

EULEX tries to calm the situation but is under cut by orders from the US in NATO, hence the grim look on 'Ferris' Bheuler's face. He doesn't know whether he is coming or going. The Euros try to frantically salvage something in their favor, i.e. letting Pristina appointed officials in place to block Serbian goods, but this will not stand for long. The game is over. The serbs are now and forever on guard against any similar actions. If the US wants to kill civilians, I'm sure it will but at a massive cost to itself and relations with its allies. No negotiations unless there is a return to the exact status quo ante.

Pristina has effectively shot itself in the foot (as one well known serb commentator has written) when if it had waited a few months it would have had it all on the plate. The future of Tadic's coalition now hangs by a thread with elections coming up. He no longer has a choice as talks are unlikely to produce anything before the elections. He's finished and so is the west most pro-EU government.

Brussels and its masters are f**ked as any threat now to Belgrade to block accession, however mild makes it look like it has taken sides with Pristina since its unilateral action. They would effectively be kicking Tadic in the head. Bureaucrats like Ashton and others working for the Council and Commission have been very damagingly undermined by their own people. Their credibility is in tatters and this is in an atmosphere where the EU is turning increasingly euro-skeptic.

So, congratulations to Thachishvili for showing what a wonderful politician he is. Even his supporters can no longer pretend he is anything but a thug and an animal who cannot control himself. Not only has he humiliated Brussels and his sponsors, he's undermined the kosovo albanian position and pitched the Brussels against Washington when it is Brussels that pays the bills. Serbia (and I don't mean Tadic) has time on its side. Pristina does not.

--"When Stefanović at one point went toward the checkpoint on foot, American soldiers cocked their rifles and shouted at him to return."
You are lucky to be alive! Serbs have burned that point TWICE, burned the US Embassy, courthouse in Mitrovica etc. That's why it's KILL ZONE and the US soldiers will shoot first and their superiors will not even ask too many questions. Do not show up on foot in the middle of a night in a restricted military zone and expect niceties. By the way, order has been issued not to let him back in Kosova. (Go Kosova, 30 July 2011 11:51)--

The article is a bit funny -- Radicals stefanovic and bogdanovic pour out their poisonous radical colonialist propaganda on a daily basis, stirring up every bit of hatred and ethnic animosity the balkans has to offer -- and that's a lot! they are so used to having a public platform for their racist trash, yet they can't believe that they, their words, their actions would ever be held accountable. and suddenly, they're accountable, as in to the american army. yeah!

i was never enthusiastic about our involvement in iraq (though saddam insane was evil incarnate), nor in afghanistan, despite the wacko talliban. but i've never for one second had a question or doubt about our commitment in the balkans. of course it was too little too late, and it is horrible if anyone is killed, much less thousands and thousands. but fascism was halted, and thank god for it.

unfortunately there is so much left to do, and the intrnl's -- esp.ly europa europa -- will not push for it. so we have to do that work. demand justice for the 1000s of war crimes victims and their families. we need to take the agressor state serbia to every court we possibly can, demaNd they take responsibility for "their" war crimes (instead of covering them up), and demand reparations. this is our work, and it will be quite an endeavor.

in the meantime, the blgd regime, as current rep of the aggressor state, must be forced to open up and immediately exhume all bodies (usually co-mingled body parts, sad to say), with international presence and expertise. always!

and the mass burning of albanian bodies, hundreds, perhaps thousands, must be brought to public light. we have sent our report to a variety of ngo's and govt officials -- but basically the west has to FORCE the blgd regime to come clean. no peace, no progress until the truth comes out.

looking forward to more such stories from our beloved b-92 :)

First of all I like the nick names like Supermarket Manager or Ticket Inspector or Psychiatrist and by the end of my comment I’m going to invent mine.

Second I wonder if anyone here can see much difference between the status of KFOR and that of Gauleiter of Yugoslavia during WW2. Both are administrative tools of the winner side. Yes their methods differ sometimes but they do the same job – oppressing the local tribes.

Third - the Serbian officials represent the Western wing of the political establishment. So they can quite have a cup of coffee with the Snake and Madame Clinton to solve the problem without a fuss. If only they do not mean to show their patriotism after betraying 100% of the fighting Serbs.

Forth - when time comes the West will offer a compromise with the Albanians at the price of the Northern territories to be returned to Mother Serbia.

Fifth - the factor of the American base is so important that all sides involved do not even dare to open their mouths. And the fact that those were the American soldiers to “surprise” the Serbians shows that the solution time is far away yet.

If ROSU would be there everything would be secured.

And the footage showed clearly that the hooligans came from the serbian side. They were about 50 crimianals since I counted them.

The real proof that they were ordered by belgrade is because they diden't get caught after the crime. The footage showed they runned towards Serbia. If serbian police wanted to catch them they would do that. If you dont stop the crime you then help the crime.Simple!
(Demi, 30 July 2011 16:23)”

Wow, this is really priceless! Just because these 2 guys objected to ROSU being at the checkpoints is therefore proof that they set fire to these checkpoints??????? What kind of kangaroo court are you running????

You now claimed that “the footage showed clearly that the hooligans came from the Serbian side”. And since you actually had and took the time to review this footage and even managed to count some 50 “criminals”, I would logically assume that you must have a copy of this footage or at least it is readily available online. Can you therefore provide the source of the footage so that all of us can objectively evaluate this wonderful evidence?

And your “real proof” that Serbia is responsible is that these “criminals” didn’t get caught after the crime????? But the crime took place inside Kosovo! If this really proves anything, it must surely prove the pathetic inefficiency of your KFOR, EULEX and KPS forces as law enforcers to allow all 50 of them to escape, right? Moreover isn’t it also possible that these “criminals” were not arrested precisely because this had all along been an Albanian set up?

Also, your claim that “they runned towards Serbia” simply means to me that they ran in the direction of Serbia proper, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they crossed the administrative border unless, of course, your wonderful footage is able to show that all 50 of them were able to cross that border completely unmolested by KFOR, EULEX and KPS! Now that’s really incredible to say the least!

And finally, that you can actually tell that they are Serb even though, in your own words earlier, they had hoods on?

Sorry, but you would really have to do much better than this if you expect your “proof” to be able to stand up to scrutiny in court -- I mean a true court of law and not your kangaroo one of course.

So would I. In fact most KFOR soldiers I would welcome to consider spending there tour 'Up North'.
In addition to bringing a calmness and a sense of normality to the the population, they also have an impact on criminal activity due to their presence.

For KFOR, they can usually relax a lot more and enjoy good company, good beer, and good food (Pork is tasty in those parts). Interaction with the locals is usually positive.

Incidents that cause a strain on relationships, such as recent events, usually blow over fairly quickly.

Thres not many KFOR that did,t enjoy is time in 'Lepo', and vice versa :-)) mind you, it was better when the camps were allowed 'Ale' !!

These are the two that ordered the burning of the border posts by mobilizing extremist, criminal Serb elements. Stefanovic and Bogdanovic are probably upset because US soldiers may have seized or at least photographed items of value to the intelligence community. US soldiers are by far the best trained, equipped and commanded soldiers in NATO, it is good to see them in the north confirming Kosova's sovereignty.

The US is behind this and how stupid of them to attack the EU.

From Balkan Insite, official organ of propaganda news for the balkans (formerly BIRN, funded by 'ngos' and 'private individuals' like sorros:

"...But James Hooper, a former US diplomat and expert on the Western Balkans, said that Europe's one-sides support for Serbia may have dealt the dialogue a deadly blow.

"The EU has responded by sending police to the North and criticizing only the Kosovo government," he noted, adding that this was "proof that there are no other EU policies besides accelerating Serbia's (EU) membership", he told Radio Free Europe.

According to him, Brussels has no means of dealing with these kinds of problems and the only hope was that Washington would step in.

"The US should intervene and deal with the issue of the status of the North, which is very serious, problematic and difficult," he concluded..."

The old trick of using a 'former' whatever to say what cannot be said officially.

Btw, Thaci has sacked the head of the police but said he resigned... The chiefs reformed threatened Thaci's kingdom and wasn't even informed of the raid in the north. Again from Balkan insite:

And again some Serb politician having 5 minute TV fame.

Certainly he wasn't on the way telling Serb people we have work for you or you must start paying taxes like everyone else. He was there to tell 30 thousand people stay in the streets, and burn your this place. Listen: you people live over there, if you want jobs Serbia is not going to provide you with, nor peace or prosperity. Check the history for past 30 years. By the way, if those 50 (your figure, not mine) criminals are hooded, how do you know for sure that they are Serb? Do you have laser eyes or what? Isn't it also possible that they could have been Albanisn or even Yankee out to frame the Serbs and thereby justify the takeover of those border points?

So all those ordinary Kosova's Serbs citizens crossing a check point and being asked for ID, checking their cars, as it is the case in every check point/customs in the world, are criminals?
Did these official just made all ordinary Serbs crossing at check points made them criminals? Because all ordinary people do stop to be checked for their IDs and searched?
Did these guys thought that entering a military zone they'r exempt from being ID and searched and even at one point ignore the military orders?
Oh they must've thought they are dealing with EULEX police and not NATO's soldiers hence the ignorance.

Considering the fact that your president admitted that extremist serbian criminal elements burned down the border posts; this has the effect of an admission whereas the burden of proof then shifts to the accused to prove that it was not them that committed said action. Aleks

pre 12 godina

When ROSU was there no one dared to burn down the buildings. If Bogdanovic and Stefanovic dident want ROSU to be there they have to secure the buildings them self. It means that they them self ordered the burning of the buildings and endangerad the custom staff because they diden't stop or catch the criminals who did it.

Poor Commentor

pre 12 godina

Aleks

pre 12 godina

These are the two that ordered the burning of the border posts by mobilizing extremist, criminal Serb elements.

I thought Demi and Dibrani007 made ridiculous claims on this thread. I stand corrected. They don't even come close to yours!

"I said the other day that if Serbs dont stop here and think Kosova is their new Country the next think is Albanian Oluja (Knin scenario).Serbia will help those poor Serbs in Kosova the same way they help Serbs in Croatia. And Albanians will go for every inch of Albanian land including Nish and Sanxhak.Mark my words."

Go and try it. But don't whine for NATO afterwards, when you have failed and get chased back to Durres. You people should really go and get your own country, but between Afghanistan and Pakistan or between Kongo and Somalia, because that's exactly where you belong.

Why should it agitate me to see you make a complete fool of yourself? It wouldn't be your first time making false claims anyway, as you jolly well know by now. And those B92 moderators must be tickled pink by now!

B92 did not post my lengthy rebuttal so i'll just try and say one thing maybe it gets through.

When will Serbs begin to take responsibility for the actions of the extremist, criminal elements in their society.

n n zeka, we the Serbs have been telling you the same from the beginning.

Practice what you Breach

The message is clear from international community, Kosovo government and people of Kosovo regardless of nationality: no one really cares about you, you want to live here you have to obey the law if you don't go to Serbia or where ever you want.

Thank you.
(n n zeka, 31 July 2011 21:20)

No one thanks you for that comment. How can serbs in Kosovo respect the law when even albanians from Kosovo all the way up to the top don't? Are you belgian?
