It is very interesting to note that the mighty NATO forces were nowhere to be seen except after an agreement has been reached.

For the obtuse Albanians if you think that NATO will open fire on any one think again. My contacts tell me that they will do all they can not to start trouble as once the fire is lit there could be a lot more dead US soldiers than Washington would like and starting another US mess is not on their agenda at this stage. They are running and losing 3 wars and another conflict is far from their dreams.

Its the standard NATO BS that they mean business but they will run miles away from starting any conflicts – anyway the Albos are no longer at the check point. Does anyone recall the last time that checkpoint went up in flames – NATO turned up for a couple of weeks and then disappeared?

Damn those NATO skunks, particularly the American version. They should go home and put their own house in order and feed their own people who don't get enough to eat instead of spending billions of dollars they don't have on occupation of other countries. There is a hidden agenda, they are not there for the bloody Albanians, that was the excuse for their occupation, they are there to be strategically placed for future aggresion against other countries and possibly against Serbia. The Americans have bases all over the world for one purpose only, invasion and occupation for world domination. The whole world hates them, even their own allies hate them so what does that tell you folks.

Their army is stupid, they have not woken up to the fact that their political elite are using them to murder while their own people go hungry at the hands of the government they represent and murder for. Go home yankee and occupy the land you came from.

RON,
By defending 1244 you are meaning this passage too, right,
"Transferring, as these institutions are established, its administrative responsibilities while overseeing and supporting the consolidation of Kosovo's local provisional institutions and other peace-building activities;"
As UNMIK has done in turning over customs control to the established govt of Kosovo and its police force.
Certainly a true defender of international law such as yourself are wholehearted supporting NATO in this, other wise you come off as just another ultranationalist Serb. Being located in Holland either legally or illegally is of no consequence.

More is not needed. Once those checkpoints operate as they should (controlling passport, taxing goods, etc.) while executing Kosovo law the whole parallel structure system of insurgent Serbs in the North collapses.

Very good, General!

I wonder when will someone start taking care of the hooligans south of Ibar? They have been running rampant for years now, mistreating honest calm people that lived there for centuries?

Not a bad thing. However, NATO must make sure that UNMIK regulations are in effect on these posts. And NOT the regulations of the provincial government.

NATO can prove now that it is really serious about defending 1244!!

Serbian officials today accused KFOR of "enforcing decisions of the (Kosovo Albanian) Priština government" and stepping outside the UN resolution.

I would have thought "Serbian officials" knew about this a decade ago.

It's about time they did that. Finally KFOR will take this seriously because those huligans do not understand other way than use of force against them.
