An important step...! I guess about 999 steps left. Ask germans and french(US) how many steps contains the accession. They still count them! Do not humiliate yourself! EU belongs to these two, sorry, three players!

Here is what some people, who are not Serbs, think of what Tadic is doing.

Danilo, pay attention. This is what I was talking about.

Danilo, I agree that I haven't put that just right. What was said is that Hague has prosecuted Serbs most harshly and not only Serbs. I do make that correction here now.

I know others were prosecuted there and most important players let go like Oric and Haradinaj and Thaci isn't even indicted.

Peggy.

It's not true that the ITCY prosecuted only Serbs.

161 people were prosecuted. 94 of them are Serbs, 29 are Croats, 9 are Albanians, 9 are Bosniaks, 2 are Macedonians and 2 are Montenegrin 9 unknown or unstated ethnicity.

I'm surprised that someone like you who comments a lot would literally not know one of the first things about the ICTY

who am I kidding. It doesn't surprise me one bit.

Van Rompuy and Ashton expressed expectation Hadžić would be extradited to the Hague Tribunal without any delay and pointed out cooperation with the court continued to be of essential importance to Serbia's EU membership.

=======================

What, not done yet? Continued to be of essential importantce? So is there anyone else they would like to be sent there?
So far nobody has said that Serbia has fulfilled her obligation to Hauge.
I was watching RT news and, can't remember his name now, but a British media person said that since the Hague has only condemned Serbs and persecuted them so relentlessly the court is not legitimate and Serbia handing over their people shows that Serbia think they are the main agressors in the Balkans. He said that he thinks Serbia is making a very big mistake this way since it is not so.
Trust Tadic to sell Serbia out and have us go down in history as monsters.

This is another important step for Serbia in achieving its European perspective and an equally important step for international justice," Van Rompuy and Ashton said in a joint statement.
Hmmmmmmmmm...
Really? An equally important step for international justice will only then, when US,UK, France,Russia,China, Germany and others will give their war criminals to the Hague! Otherwise this is tool of rich and big ones against the weak and small ones. Ashton forgot to mention again about respect, equality, impartiality, true justice!

It's not all about Europe

I do not see how the arrest of Karadic, Mladic and Hadic is something to be proud of. They defended the Serbian people during an ugly civil war. All the Republics within the x-Yugoslavia have done the very same this being defend it's own people. I take it's ok to clense the Serbs from Krajina, Bosnia, Kosovo and now in Serbia trying to make a new life. Has anyone really taken the time to talk to these people let alone ask them how they feel or make ends meet. Like anyone else they have a story to tell, but because they are Serbis take it does not matter becuse they are meant to be the aggressors. The reality was that there was a polical struggle (not military) within Yugoslavia and people have paid the ulimate price. And all we think about is what the Europe and our neighbors think. Shame!
