Croatia: Generals "in death threats to journalist"

A regional media organization has demanded that Croatia investigate death threats allegedly made by top military officials against a Croatian journalist.

"It is unacceptable that in a country that will soon join the European Union, military officials can send death threats to journalists who investigate war crimes."

Indeed, unacceptable. But not uncommon in countries where the military thinks they are above the law and can do what they want, and in countries who defend their war criminals as 'heroes'
