It is never too late to prosecute someone for war crimes. Case in point Demanjuk and others who are facing trial at this very moment. I am always amazed at the notion that since these criminals are old that somehow it doesn't matter anymore. Ironically living in custody isn't have as bad since they have healthcare, 3 meals a day and other benefits. Gosh its almost like an old age home. Interestingly enough they are receiving far more humananity then they showed their victims who many were old just as they are now when they were slaughtered. As for Sakic..DNA? that would solve everything.

Let's see the death certificate. We can then exhume the body to make sure. Scum like this woman don't deserve dignity even in death.

Instead chasing domestic war criminals which are alive, they chase dead once of other countries. Each one with a brain can only remain speechless about this stupid and purely politically motivated act with no possible sane result.

"On another note, why did Serbia wait 13 years to issue the warant? What a joke and an embarrassement"

Because those in charge in Serbia never had any intention of going after these ustasha killers. This is all carefully choreographed PR for local consumption, in order to make it look as if they are also going after the murderers of Serbs, when in fact they appease and even secretly applaud various Serb killers as is evident by their actions in arresting all those brave Serbs who attempted to fight for their lives and prevent another holocaust of their own people.

The Serbian government is absolutely grotesque.

However, reports on Friday said that Šakić died in Zagreb, Croatia in February of this year, and was buried there.

Hold hold on, who reports she is dead? Croatia? Is this confirmed or is she being protected? B92 can you follow up?

On another note, why did Serbia wait 13 years to issue the warant? What a joke and an embarrassement. Serbia is using the thousands murdered in vein. Shame on you Serbia!

How can attempting to prosecute a mass murderer ever be wrong??

If she is dead, then she'll be fast tracked to the hottest corner of hell.

"Šakić is charged with most serious war crimes. We expect she will be arrested based on our warrant. We would ask for her immediate extradition, so that she could be tried in Serbia for the serious crimes she is suspected of," Homen said.

All I can say is,that this Homen is a moron, including all Serbian goverment officials.
These things happen only in Serbia.

Once again the Serbs are clutching at straws. Beograd has to go as far back as 1941 to put out an arrest warrant on someone. This just proves that Serbia, instead of arresting war criminal Hadzic they put all there efforts into Sakic.
