Asking the British to get on with the Greeks is like asking the Serbs to get on with the Albanians: it doesn't matter how many times you say it, it just ain't going to happen. Much the best bet is if we buy one or two of these islands off them, encourage the locals to leave and run them for ourselves. That way the Greeks get to make a small hole in their national debt and our people can go on holiday without the risk of getting stabbed by Stavros and his "close friends". Everybody wins.

As usual another idiotic comment from a former Balkanite which shows he hasn't been to Greece but thinks he's qualified to post upon.
To start with,99% of the incidents that take place in two of the most popular resorts with the young Brits, Mallia in Crete and Cavos in Corfu are between the Brits themselves and not between Greeks and Brits.Greeks do not frequent those places.
As to your jibe about buying two Greek islands there is a problem here.Your Queen's bank -bank of England-having printed £1 trillion in the last two years, it has run out of paper and cannot afford to buy anymore.Pray for Ireland not to default because if they did your banks will call it a day and you'll be on your bike to balkans.
