If you look at the Albanian trains you see that many cars have not a single window intact. Seem to be a national sport there. Hope, the Olympic Comitee will include the "stone throwing", "organ harvesting" and "police scam in Hungary" into next Olympics. If they do, a certain team will have a shower of gold medals.

This is nothing. Serbia didn't attend Srebrenica commemoration and Serbs don't care about that.

I think, "missing the point" is a natural state of nearly everyone here because English is not even the second language for most and we just can guess what the other party is saying - so no idea, what did I miss but perhaps I did.

In ex-YU everyone meddles everywhere simply because this break-up was not natural and people have the connections all over the former country. I did not notice I used the word "Zionist" before and to tell the truth I am not hugely knowledgeable about their movement, only in rough details. I am neither supporting that movement 100% neither opposing it. From scientific point of view their ideas are debatable to say the least.

And at last, in Serbia I never experienced any strong "anti-Zionist" agenda, that says a lot of positive.

I can't get rid of suspect, the UDI Bush was pushing for so hard had precisely that as a goal: to make both sides angry enough and delay the honest discussion for as long as possible. Some proof: the territorial loss of Serbs in Kraina and that RS is separate from Serbia is of much harder economic consequence than Kosovo.

Somehow that is much less of the issue here, Kosovo gets a very over-rated exposure and feelings are stronger. Unlike with Croatia or even Bosnia: NOTHING was done to help the reconciliation by "great powers".

Easy to guess, why: unlike the case with Croatia reconciliation would have a grave effect (for American political establishment) to keep Serbia as whole and endanger the American geo-political interests in the region - as long as Serbia is suspected to be a Russian ally.

In the reality, Serbia is not even ally of Russia - the government is powerless and clueless, what to do because while they are clearly oriented towards "West", the same "West" has geo-political interest to destroy their country.

That seem to seal the fate of the Serbian-Albanian relationship... but there is more than that. There are thousands of Albanians living in Serbia Proper and outside of the Presevo Valley. They live not bad and even if you go outside of Serbia - the Budapest->Belgrade road is literally dotted with Albanian bakeries in both Hungary and Serbia. Many even speak Hungarian and seem to be at peace with the other two local ethnic elements.
