OSCE PA adopts organ trafficking resolution

"that a comprehensive investigation be undertaken of abductions and crimes connected with the removal and sale of human organs allegedly committed in Kosovo during the armed conflicts in the territory of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999 and immediately afterwards, and invites full co-operation with UNMIK and EULEX, as well as the relevant national institutions, and in particular the provision of all information, facts and documents on crimes concerning abductions and trade in human organs in the territory of Kosovo."

Congratulations Serbia, after months of meetings and daily comments that there is no way EULEX can conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged organ thefts during 1999 in Kosovo, you have effectively convinced OSCE that it is EULEX that SHOULD conduct such an investigation.
You are the true masters of the world.

I can't believe how extremely naive the Serbian people or at least posters on here can be. This is what you had in March, Eulex was going to conduct the investigation (the cooperation with UNMIK was a given since EULEX works under the umbrella of UNMIK) both Kosovo and Albania have agreed to cooperate with Eulex in the investigation, Serbia was the only hold out since they insisted that the investigation be carried out by someone else.
So what you have is a resolution that forces Serbia to cooperate with an investigative agency they weren't going to.
But basically you have a resolution that says this is what the OSCE thinks should happen, it has no kind of force behind it as you will note Jeremic said yesterday any mandate has to come from the UNSC.
