Should you truly be British and not Serbian, and did serve in Kosovo, I congratulate you on your marriage to a cute little honey half your age.
However, if my suspicions are true by serving in Kosovo you mean you were a waiter at one of the Serbian coffee shops.

Good job Ataman, one asks you to keep the comedy up and you send jokes. Not disappointed by you. Devastating jokes indeed, haha. But we must read between the lines of those jokes of course, somewhere between the cannibals joke and the hell joke is "we bombed the wrong side". Hilarious. Please make us laugh some more, you are a born comedian.

Sorry, PSS - I simply cannot believe you. I served in Kosovo myself and have met probably hundreds of people since, of many nationalities but primarily core NATO states, who come down about 95% on the Serb side. "We bombed the wrong side" is indeed the mantra. Everyone has their own story of the moment of realisation when they realised that we were supporting the wrong people, and almost always the arrogant, xenophobic, cheating primitivism that appears to pass as normal amongst the K/Albs is at the centre of it.

By the way, Ataman - love MT Cowgirl!

If they are from another planet, you must be from a neighbouring planet to theirs. Give us a break, lets make progress and resolve this deadlock situation. The facts on the ground are such, that you can do nothing otherwise but agree on issues, and Albanian Kosovars as well,
The world will come to an end, before you guys agree to civility, openess, friendship for the future generations. If you can live with that, fine, if not, neka ide sve u pivsku flashu!

For a person who is not an Albanian you show many signs of being one, but lets leave that aside.

I really don’t care what you think or how you feel about Serbs and I really don’t care what your views are on who or what should get justice as I get very tired of western windbags preaching to the world about their superiority and how “father knows best”.

You may not have met ex KFOR/EULEX police/justice personnel that are not happy with Albanians, but I have and there are many and possibly the reason is that you have never left the shores of the US. I have also met many who are not happy with the US, yes that’s rights there are many who are not happy with the US and its not because it’s a rich country that has democracy and freedom et al but because it has become the sink hole duplicity and grubbiness – from the likes of Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt to the likes of Reagan, Bush and Clinton. From a group of people whose word was their bond to this lot where you want to take a shower after shaking their hands.

If your life does not depend on what happens in the Balkans then I can presume that you will not be posting on B92. In that case cheerio and best wishes.

As far as the US economy is concerned, I talk about it being of no great relevance to the world and that is coming up very fast for all to see – it will hit your people just like the GFC did in 2007 i.e. overnight – you cannot keep spending like a drunken sailor on shore leave and still have a healthy bank balance and who ever keeps telling you people that everything is fine is telling you BS.

I strongly suggest that you ask your politicians what has your treasury secretary recently signed with the international bankers.

This comment must really hurt you. Unfortunately I do a lot of travelling for work and I tend to meet people from many walks of life and professions, but so far all the people I have met that have served in Kosovo as KFOR or EULEX or in any capacity for that matter are all singing from the same page in the hymn book – “we have bombed the wrong people“.
Naturally no one would tell you, an Albanian, to your face that your people stink for fear of someone putting a knife in their back - one former EULEX police officer told me that you take your life in your own hands criticizing an Albanian in Kosovo.
The people making these comments are not Serbs but individuals who have tasted Albanian hospitality. A lady near my parents is from Denmark and I visited her people when I was there in 2009. This lady has 2 nephews in the army who served in Kosovo as KFOR. Their reactions to Albanians in Kosovo are bad and that’s before they have had a drink. It gets worse after a few beers.

The Brit and Ataman,

Yes, you are correct, dung.

Last week the serb diaspora are "trash mouths" and today we read the majority of serbs are..."racist, bizarre and anything but diplomatic ... and ... which sadly predominates in their country, diaspora and media."

Recently he said the entire serbian society needed "de-nazification"; how is that for "vileness"?

Poor roberto ... he wrote on B92 ".. i think that my voice should carry at least as much weight as other journalists or investigators." He should stick to his middle school job because Christiane Amanpour he is not.

Serbs don't need to play such games. I did speak with "internationals" enough times - this is indeed their opinion, a very devastating one for Albanians. This guy is unbelievable. the only aliens in this matter come from Serbia. They can't accept the reality of an independent Kosov, and live in another world. Serbia finally has to face reality, and what is equally important, it's PAST, just like Germany did after WWII. . All this talk about Kosovo being the cradle of Serbian culture is so fake and wrong. Compare it to Germany. They were able to leave the past behind, reflect on what they did in WWII, and acceped that because of that war, the boarders were changed. I do not see that Serbia faces that reality, and I also must say that big parts of the serbian population still seem to be driven by the old thoughts of serbian superiority in that part of the world. But I guess they can't really be blamed, if they have leaderes and a media, which reinforces these ideas and thought. Serbia has to face reality, and the reality is that Kosovo is independet and before they don't do that, they can not become a part of Europe.

--You are not alien to us, you are an enemy Mr Stefanovic. Not even your recognition would make things better, but I guess you and your Government already know that. (Pejoni, 5 July 2011 18:42)--

I completely agree, Pejoni. Stefanovic's thoughts and behavior are racist, bizarre and anything but diplomatic. But they are all too common with many (NOT ALL) Serbian people. They basically represent the Jeremic Radical wing, which sadly predominates in their country, diaspora and media.

I saw him in action, in blgd, close up and personal, and I can assure you, he is a nasty, smug piece, even compared to other Serbian members of the team. That's no accident -- this is who they put in charge of the team, this represents the elite of Serbia, so to speak. Together with their media.
The comments and articles here that on a daily basis attempt to prove the "vileness" of the Albanian character are nothing new, certainly nothing that milosevic and co. invented. Of course during Tito's time that ethnic hate had to go underground, as Brotherhood and Unity was endlessly promoted, in good ways and not such good ways. As soon as Tito is gone and the nationalists start rattling their hate cans, back to the ugly past.

This was the POV of one of the Svetlana's from Pescanik, the English-speaking one, given to us recently in Blgd just before they severed all ties with guess who, for exactly what we are discussing:

"When my children were young, and I needed a babysitter, this would be my criteria (paraphrased): 'What do you think of Albanians? Many would quite openly tell me of their intensely racist views, and all those I would immediately dismiss. It was a kind of test of character for us.'"

In some ways you could compare it to the old (and lingering) racist views by many whites ag. blacks in this country. Things have changed in that regard over the years, but not all that much. The major difference is that here (US) people know that it is both wrong and politically incorrect I think if you contrast this jerk Stefanovic with Edita Tahiri, what a difference! She really shines as a person with class and dignity -- she was the perfect foil for the other side, as Sonia promised to me, and as usual she was dead-on. In fact Edita and the new (female) president of the republic are both intelligent, classy, well-spoken, and non-demogogic. In that sense, they make many of their male colleagues in the balkans look... not so great.

Thanks! ciao.

1) Some will have Srebrenica-effect like some Serbs: "it did not happen anyway and there weren't more than 2000 people killed in Srebrenica" (sorry, 2000 is just 2000 to many)
2) Some will be truly ashamed and shake their head in disbelief
3) Some will say: "this is still not as bad as killing 15000 Albanians" (inflating the known number even further and finding an excuse)
4) Some will say: "it's a collateral damage - very unfortunate but acceptable for the goal, the Albanism and Natural Albania"
5) One single person will pull out a long essay, difficult to read and forgetting all capital letters and proper punctuation marks about him discussing with some political celebrity evil Serbs and even more evil Russians regardless.

Nice try, from the writing it is perfectly obvious that exKFOR is Serbian, and sj you know nothing of what the majority of Kfor soldiers say. Not many ex Kfor in the asian market that you claim you have spent the years making your fortune. I did work side by side with many Kfor and IPOs and I never heard any of them call them Albos.
One thing is true, after the job of Kfor did shift once Serbian military and paramilitary were driven out, there was no longer an immediate threat to Albanians from Serbs. The main job of Kfor was to 1st prevent Serb military and police from reentering Kosovo, 2nd protect Serbs from retalitory attacks from the Albanians. Why a people beaten for years do not immediately take a forgive and forget attitude, it takes time.

Not only Kfor sj, not only Kfor.
Ask any AMERICAN ex Unmik police officer what they think about K Albanians. Ask Eulex personell. Ask police officers in Europe.
The K Albanians really believes that they have the support from US. Thousands of US Kfor and police who have served in Kosovo spread their experience when they get home and this is very negative for the Albanians.

What I have seen in almost 5 years spent in Kosovo, I truly, truly defend the view that we have bombed the wrong people.

Cheers,
(Mikevele, 5 July 2011 20:06)

I have heard this statement many times from different very high rank western officials since 2001. Do you notice that no one talks today about the bombings. Because they are ashamed and it did not turn out like it was supposed to. (Otherwise res 1244 was to be written in another way. In other words, it would be possible for Kosovo to be a new country which 1244 prevents until else is decided in UNSC.)

Now, will Kosovo be a own country one day? No, it will not. I have explained earlier why, but K Albanian commentators believe so. Well, I cannot force them to believe in my way. Thats democracy. We will see when the organ harvesting case is laid on the table in a few years and when maybe 20-30 of the top leaders in Kosovo are put in jail.

I have a serious question to the K Albanian readers and I really am curious about what they think:

"personal identity cards, traffic and driving licenses to be used in future but only with a certificate to be given by the Serbian Interior Ministry at the administrative line".

According to him, the card would bear the date and place of entrance and would be used for administrative checks only.
"Without it the documents shall be invalid. In the certificate there will also be written that that document does not prejudice the future Kosovo status."

This sounds like a visa to me. Anyway, congratulations to both sides on this agreement. Alien invasion of Serbia from Kosovo starting in November 1 when agreement comes into effect. The monks who painted the flying disc in the monastery saw something. The flying disc in the monastery and the difficulty of Stefanovic to understand what was being said by these aliens puts the final nail in the coffin of the Illyrian descent theory of the Albanians. The disc itself is hidden in the monastery. In fact, one of the doors always remains closed because it is the entrance to this disc. The disc has engravings saying "Serbia je Kosovo". Father Sava knows this but he won't answer questions about the door.

"If we were speaking about the 1990s and condemning the war crimes, they were speaking about occupation and genocide. We have not agreed about what happened, let alone about what we want in the future,"

condemning the war crimes or the usual Serbian tactics of minimizing her responsibility and guilt can be achieved Mr Stefanovic only if you pay bit money to Kosturica and then little bit to Bregovic for the music and you make the usual gipsy- Serbian saga of 'we are so crazy in the Balkans'. You may also find some idiots and far-left political naïve in Europe that will like and buy this story and will even find it romantic.

However, in the real world Mr Stefanovic the fact that you refuse to acknowledge your national strategy of occupation, ethnic cleansing and genocide that is taking place since the memorandum of Cubrilovic and then Rankovic up to Milosevic is called in civilized world denial.

The fact that beside your denial someone in EU will still pressurise Kosova to make compromises with you so you could advance in your EU integration is called political opportunism and totally immoral thing- I strongly believe that (for not to say sure) that even those EU bureaucrats that pressurise Ksoova to make you some concessions are deeply disgusted themselves and privately justify to Prishtina with we know it stinks but we have to move forward at least a bit.

Racism? I didn't know that Aliens are a race :) Joking aside, it's bad to make statements like these by Stefanovic after one round of Belgrade-Pristina talks have ended with some results. The same goes for Tahiri, maybe even more, because she immediately started to fantasize about the agreements found being the first steps for Serbia to recognize Kosovo. This behavior from both sides is neither helpful nor necessary, having in mind that the EU will force them to new rounds of talks in the future. Why not simply say that they had to compromise and accept the proposals by the EU?
(Top, 5 July 2011 16:05)
It is true that both sides are making inappropriate comments. These talks no more mean recognition by Serbia than it means reintegration into Serbia.
However, to come out and publicly insult the people with whom you are seriously trying to negotiate with is beyond belief. I think it is time that the Serbian team looks for a new leader. There can be no true talks without at least the semblance of respect for the other side.
This is the arrogance that I have seen displayed time and again that helped convince me that Kosovo could never be a part of Serbia again. My initial view was that the best scenario would have been Kosovo remaining in Serbia with substantial autonomy but that lasted about 2 months into my mission in Kosovo. And it was 100% Serbian and not Albanian actions that convinced me to change my view.

He is right, back in 2004 there was impossible to talk reasonably to Kosovo Albanians who were, i guess still are, the biggest self-admiring nationalists I have met in different Balkan countires. therefore in K-Mitrovica our battalion CO had to order to kill some (4- 6) of those muslim terrorist snipers who were shooting from the roofs. and of course albos said those were not from Kosovo, though at least 4 of them were buried not far from the Danish camp on some kind of "heroes" cemetary. As they recognize only brute froce among themthelves the international community should handle them with their own modus operandi. I really hope that one day Serb forces return there and establish law and order upon those ethnic cleansers.

exKFOR,
I met one British ex-KFOR special forces guy here, and he told me that when they were sent to Kosovo they were told their job was to protect albanians from Serbs. To his surprise, he spent the entire time defending Serbs against albanian mobs. He could not believe the level of intolerance of the albanians.
The truth is coming out my friends, and thank you for speaking up. These messages need to reach our politicians.
Cheers!!

IF the coming organ harvesting investigation shows in 3-4 years that all the claims are true and 20-30 of your leaders and heroes will spend the rest of their life in prison and several countries revoke their recognition because of this, what happens then?

(Be adviced that I wrote IF in capital letters and please just answer the simple question.)

"If we were speaking about the 1090s and condemning the war crimes, they were speaking about occupation and genocide. We have not agreed about what happened, let alone about what we want in the future," Stefanović described the talks.

The 1090s was a dark period of time in the Balkans, full of war crimes, genocide and occupation. It is shame that these people are in a dispute which dates back to the 1090s.

Actually I think this might be a typo error made by B92. I believe it is referring to the 1990s and not the 1090s haha.

Serbia has to face reality, and the reality is that Kosovo is independet and before they don't do that, they can not become a part of Europe.

condemning the war crimes or the usual Serbian tactics of minimizing her responsibility and guilt can be achieved Mr Stefanovic only if you pay bit money to Kosturica and then little bit to Bregovic for the music and you make the usual gipsy- Serbian saga of 'we are so crazy in the Balkans'.

Thanks! ciao.

This is a legal confirmation for us that the documents will be used for transit only. This means that all people who have our citizenship will be allowed to move freely without affecting our position regarding the status. The so-called ‘Kosovo passports’ will not be valid."

Asked what would affect the status, Stefanović replied, "only if Priština put a stamp on some of those documents."

I am trying to understand this moron.
I am sure Borko has seen what is written on Kosova ID,Drivers License and License plates. It simply says Republic of Kosova in three languages. What stamp is he talking about and which documents?

Why he does not admitte it openly, that Serbia has nothing to do with Kosova!?

To his surprise, he spent the entire time defending Serbs against albanian mobs. He could not believe the level of intolerance of the albanians.
The truth is coming out my friends, and thank you for speaking up. These messages need to reach our politicians.

Thanks! ciao.

IF the coming organ harvesting investigation shows in 3-4 years that all the claims are true and 20-30 of your leaders and heroes will spend the rest of their life in prison and several countries revoke their recognition because of this, what happens then?

One thing is true, after the job of Kfor did shift once Serbian military and paramilitary were driven out, there was no longer an immediate threat to Albanians from Serbs. The main job of Kfor was to 1st prevent Serb military and police from reentering Kosovo, 2nd protect Serbs from retalitory attacks from the Albanians. Why a people beaten for years do not immediately take a forgive and forget attitude, it takes time.

The flying disc in the monastery and the difficulty of Stefanovic to understand what was being said by these aliens puts the final nail in the coffin of the Illyrian descent theory of the Albanians.
