Dear Zh.
Let me salute you with the wisdom of John Lennon in his famous "Revolution".

We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You'd better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow

Is this the world you are suggesting to turn to?

Mladic's behavior in front of a court is a good indicator of what this general was capable. In a few months, he will smile less when he'll receive his sentence: guilty on all counts! Jail for life.

This is so ridiculous...
Now we know where the Japanese learned the art of self proclaimed righteousness.

Who will take you to court, Euros and Ameros? For everything you've done in Asia, Africa, South America and North America? Nobody!
So now you have some kind of silly court to torment small countries on your own continent? Jesus Christ! It just never ends with you, does it?!

What we have here, are ''top'' world countries who have raped, pillaged, invaded, broken up countries, made new ones, committed genocide and in certain cases almost completely wiped out entire peoples (see Native Americans) around the entire globe judging genocide and who will burn for it?!

Here's a tip, Euros and Ameros: make sure you wash the blood dripping from your hands before you point the finger at someone.

And to Serbs, Bosnians, Albanians and others - get the damn grip on yourselves, people! How can any of you look upon EU and think: ''This is the shining example of civilization I want to follow''?!
Really?! Really?!
Develop, guard and practice your own culture.

Next time anyone decides to randomly insult Iran, China, Syria, Lebanon or any other nation, I implore you to think about those you're glorifying, first.

And Serbs, if anyone tells you, you belong in Asia, this should come as a compliment to you and not an insult. You belong with the nations who created civilizations thousands and thousands of years before, fought for their lands, died, been almost extinct and surviving, while new found morality crusaders were merely savage forest people.

There, I said it and I feel so much better for it.

While waiting for His Bobness to respond, I would be interested to know what armies and terrorists you have in mind. Ghadaffi's army and the Berber terrorists? Al Bashir's mujahedeen army against the Christian and Anemist terrorists of the South? The Baltic 'terrorists' of 1990 and the bigbrotherly Red Army? Or are you perhaps thinking of more historical examples like the Ottoman army who frequently had to deal with bands of savage Serb who descended with terror upon civilian villages? In any event, I assume the answer to your question probably is something like if some Serbs in the RS would try any funny stuff against non-Serb civilians, Sarajevo would have every right to send the BiH army in after them. Right?

Bob can you tell me the purpose of an army? Bob can you tell me the purpose of an army when terrorists are attacking civilians in that army's country?

The good thing is that the trial is underway!

I am sure that if the Mladic supporters are right then Mladic will make such a strong case for his own defence that his innocence will be fully obvious to the world. If the prosecution evidence points strongly to his guilt, I am sure that the whole world will fully convinced the other way.

Of course there will always be supporters who don't actually care whether he is guilty or not but just support him because that is in line with their own prejudices. They will continue to squirm. Quite right too - the court was set up to achieve exactly that effect.

Hooray!!!

Precisely, why would RS start trouble when we have what we want, we are prospering and we are tied to Serbia so why risk losing that? On the other hand, it is Federacija that is not functioning and is bankrupt while once again blaming Serbians for their failures.

They West really doesn't get that their policies have failed, not ours. Dayton was agreed by all parties and now they don't like it, just like UNSCR 1244. It is their ego and rigidity that is killing them and that is where their frustration lies. That's why roberta comes here and spews hatred and division almost daily.

It's easy to blame the Serbs but the truth is, the West failed.

Of course Zoran! Our enemies are trying to start and provoke a new war (like roberto just said,of course packed in mantras about justice blabla) because they think they could this time defeat us and abolish the RS!

Here is the realitycheck for you extermists a la roberto:

You are in a very, very small minority in the West!

And we are not that dumb like you want us to be,we achieved what we wanted in 1995 with creating the RS which is recognized by all states,NATO is a guarantee for it while Serbia has the right to intervene militarily if the Dayton agreements are jeopardized by the Muslims or Croats!
So we are going to continue to act like big democrats while we will keep RS de facto independent until the true moment for unification with Serbia comes!

I can smell roberto`s rage and pain because of the fact that the RS is here to stay and he can do nothing about it,too bad you cannot expell all Serbs from Bosnia like you want to.

Just listened to scumbag mass-murderer mladic being thrown out of court, compliments of the BBC. He's still a nasty and cocky piece of work, and still unrepentant, not senile, not dying.

very pleased that they are finally getting serious in the Hague. for way too many years, the likes of mass-murderers milosevic, karadzic, etc have been allowed to disrespect the court, the judges, and especially the witnesses. It's more than about time to show them their place.

If such people are "serbian knights," then we really know what we are up against. in bosnia, since 1995 there is widespread certainty that the aggressor state will once again start up war -- and genocide. we have no real reason to doubt this, esp from the policies of the "post" milosevic regimes (Djindjic being one temporary, pragmatic exception), and of course their loyal PR machines.

i have some very good links, first this article by the great ed vuliammy, on mladic's arrest/capture:

http://www.bosnia.org.uk/news/news_body.cfm?newsid=2797

and please check out the other articles on the Bosnian Institute website, which is a singular example of high journalistic standards.

i also have 2 books to recommend (for those who read books): Judgment Day -- the trial of slobodan milosevic (by Chris Stephen); The Lion, the fox and the Eagle (by Carol Off). also, concerning the work of Louise Arbour, the incredible hague prosecutor who left way too soon -- a canadian/german film production called Hunt for Justice. actually made for canadian TV, but think bbc much moreso than typical US tv.

we are hoping to bring out as many connections as possible to mladic's mass murders and the orders/ pay from belgrade, which are clear to all normal people who understand the history of the period. Hopefully we'll be able to re-open the genocide trial against serbia, and pressure the blgd regime to pay reparations to individuals victims, victims' families. we really have to be vigilant to see that that happens.

thanks. ciao!

We all know that any defendant in a court of law must follow court procedure, however what I find unsettling is that Gen. Mladic is not being allowed to appoint his own legal team. Any defendant in a court of law should have the liberty of appointing his own defence team and be given a fixed time along with his legal team of preparing with his defence.
(Niall O'Doherty, 4 July 2011 16:50)

Of course everybody would say the above by just reading the half-stories of B92 which just said that the court did not allow Mladic to appoint his choosen counsel. The remaining half of the story is about why the court decided that. The reason is that Mladic was asked if he wanted to change counsel to his choosen counsel by a given deadline. When Mladic did not request to change counsel by that deadline, the court decided to continue with the court-appointed one, so that Mladic could be properly defended.

And yes, Mladic will also have a fixed amount of time for preparing his defence. Note though that today it was not about defending about the accusations; it was just a hearing about pleading guilty or not guilty, and, according to the ICTY status, the time limit for that is 30 days. Mladic will have much more time to prepare for the actual trial.

resident of Fredericton,New Brunswick,Canada

It's possible or probable that the primary reason why Mladic is interrupting the court proceedings is simply because he hates the fact that he's being detained at the Hague's detention unit.If he is guilty of multiple or various types of war crimes than who cares that he simply dislikes his predicament.

Exactly. Be given a fixed time. FIXED. Not some months or years, like, for example Milsovic demanded who wanted to defend himself and read all the 1000s of pages. The court in the Hague should is doing right not to make the same mistake again and allow the proceeding to be delayed and delayed, until the accused dies of age as an 'innocent person'.

This comment is a slightly modified comment that I wrote, and it is more Diplomatic.

I have my own Style of Writing, and there are People who have the Writing Style of Patriots, or of Traitors, or even of neither of those types.

There are Billions of People who write, and it is highly unlikely that they all have different writing styles.

There could be People who think that some People who try to belittle and slander other People with disinformation, while providing no valid counterarguments to what someone is saying.

These People could in fact their own Secret Agendas that they cannot afford to share with the World.

I encourage People to look that the Arguments on their Own Merits, regardless of who said it, and I do not study how others Write; neither do I read tealeaves.

In this World you will have both good and bad People who have similar habits, such as Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper.

I would never say that some People have the Writing Style of OPTOR, or of Traitors; however, if Hitler told me that smoking was bad, and a good and trusted Friend told me that smoking was good, then if I had any sense, I would look at that Statement on its Own Merits, and not on the People involved.

Even though some People do not realize this; it is these People who are good indicators that someone has written a Wise and True Comment.

There are those who like to sidetrack the Message by slandering, or belittling the Messenger, because they do not like the Message, and so if they can discredit the Messenger, there hope is to discredit the Message.

My possibilities are always plausible; they are based on Human Nature and History, and People can do their own Research on this topic by simply typing the words: famous Traitors of History into an Internet Search Engine.

There are many Traitors who were discovered in History, and People said that they thought that it was impossible for that Person to be a Traitor; whereas, evidence showed that it was not only Possible, but that it was a Proven Fact.

Yes, those who appeared to be the least likely were in fact the Guilty ones, and I was simply providing a Principle to prepare the Serbian People on what I think is the Proper Attitude to display, if it should be discovered one day, if General Ratko Mladic is in Fact a Secret Muslim Janissary.

I have no wish that General Ratko Mladic is a Secret Muslim Janissary, because it could delay any future Reconciliation with the Bosnian Muslims who are Serbs.

Bosnia Herzegovina is indisputably Serbian Land, except for the Croat part, and there are Many People who would trade the Croat part of Bosnia Herzegovina for Serbian Krajina.

It is certain types of People who like to Cover Up Facts, or to scoff at things they do not know, who, by their Actions do not Contribute to the Public Debate.

And this sentiment formed much of the criticism levelled at Mladic in Belgrade when he was caught, when speaking of officers honour - ie that Mladic was not behaving in line with his rank of General.

It seems to me that Mladic's lawyer doesn't want him to appear like this in public and is trying to persuade him not to behave in this way. Mladic though, can't seem to help himself.

Yet Another J S

pre 12 godina

I want this comment to be understood in the Context that I hope that General Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic are innocent, but we need to look at this in the context of History.

We all know what the old Janissaries were, and we all know what the old Nazis of the Second World War were.

I have used the terms Modern Day Nazi, and modern Day Janissary, and the Modern Day Nazis are just those People who have similar behaviours and attitudes to the Nazis of the Second World War.

I think that the first easily recognizable Modern Day Janissary was Princip Gavrilo, and his actions were more devastating against Serbia than all the other Old type Janissaries combined.

We know that he murdered only two People, but it was the Nazi Attitude that of Collective Punishment of blaming all Serbs that was Desperately Needed and Engineered by the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and Germany.

Even if the Bosnian Serb Princip Gavrilo claimed to be Orthodox, he may have been a Secret Muslim Janissary who may have been told that his family were to be killed if he did not follow orders.

The Bosnian Serb Princip Gavrilo may have been told that his action were for the benefit of Bosnia, and he would in no way have known what would have been the consequences of his following his Orders, probably given to him by Germany, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, or even the British Empire.

Had the matter been dealt with in accordance with Justice, then the Bosnian Serb Princip Gavrilo would have been convicted and sentenced, and World War 1 would have been prevented.

However, we now know that there were other Secret Agendas at Play, as History testifies to.

I am not accusing anyone of anything, but I am looking at all the possibilities, and just because General Ratko Mladic is a Bosnian Serb just like Princip Gavrilo was a Bosnian Serb cannot of itself be used as evidence that Mladic is a Secret Muslim Janissary.

The first thing that needs to be said, is that there are only two possibilities here, and that is for General Ratko Mladic to be what he himself claims to be, or for him to be a Secret Muslim Modern Day Janissary.

Even if it is discovered one day that General Ratko Mladic is a Secret Muslim Janissary, it is vital that his family be left alone, because Civilized People Obey the Rule of Law; Follow Due Process, and Totally give the Presumption of Innocence for Everyone, including General Ratko Mladic’s family.

This is because his family know nothing about this, and they will need the help of the Serbian People, even more than what they already need it.

It is the way a Society treats its Innocent People that testifies to their Level of Democratic Commitment, and even to their Civilized Advancement.

It could be that certain Serbian Politicians may one day learn that General Ratko Mladic is a Modern Day Janissary, and that he was on a Mission to give the Serbian People a bad name in order to further Foreign Interests.

This would be done by using more than the minimum force to defend the Population, in order to help the Balkan Muslims steal Kosovo for Camp Bondsteel.

We know that a daughter of General Ratko Mladic is dead, and it could be that she was murdered by the behind the Scene Schemers who say it was suicide, in order to further Slander the Serbian People.

We have all read True Stories of how Foreign Governments, especially Anglo-American Governments have used Spies to achieve their Secret Agendas to enlarge their Empires.

If we study History, then the British Spy Traitors called the Cambridge Five are just the Tip of the Iceberg when it comes to Traitors to their own People.

There is an Old and True saying that says that Sometimes, Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction, and this has been Proven to be True Many Times.

I want to say that I will only believe that General Ratko Mladic is a Modern Day Secret Muslim Janissary, if there is Conclusive Evidence for this, or if he admits to being a Secret Muslim Janissary at his Trial.

I wonder if General Ratko Mladic will inadvertently break down in Court under strong questioning by the Prosector, and admit that he is a Secret Muslim Modern Day Janissary.

I need to say that what Could be true of General Ratkp Mladic, Could also be true of Goran Hadzic, but with Goran Hadzic, it Could be that he is a Secret Catholic who was on orders from the Polish Pope John Paul the Second.

"What kind of court are you, you're no court. You won't even let me defend myself," Mladić shouted at the judge before being escorted out.

B92

That's right. This is a court that most definitely takes its orders from the US embassy in Netherlands.

If this kangaroo court was impartial then the likes of Clinton,Bush,Blair and a large number of US generals would've been rotting in prison by now for the killing of thousands in Iraq and Afganistan.

Also, after the indiscriminate bombing of Tripoli- yet another capital city-, we would've seen Sarkosy, Cameron and Nobel peace prize winner Obama in the dock as well.

I doubt it somehow. This court is there for the military leaders and politicians of the side that confronts and resists the designs of western fascists.

I blame Tadic for all this. Mladic is quite right of course, this is just a political show trial, and these so called 'judges' just a bunch of well paid monkeys who do whatever they are told by the US/Germany. It's humurous how the world media tries to present this as a real court, and does not even question its authority, or any of its decisions. It just goes to show that the media is controlled by the very same war criminals who created this 'court', this abomination.

You only have to look towards NATO member Lithuania to find modern day NAZIs. They have an annual SS parade in support of their NAZI past.

So Hitler was defeated in WWII but personally I don't think the NAZIs were. They just transformed into NATO and you only have to see the type of death and destruction it spreads to know this is the world's most advanced killing machine, which was once attributed to the NAZIs.

As a Serbian, the patterns are very familiar. The NAZI policy in the region is now being realised by NATO. As such, this court in the Hague is just a tentacle of NATO.

The way the Court is conducted confirms what we all knew along, a charade. It seems that the prosecution wants to wind things up in a timely manner and get out of there as fast as possible rather than give Gen. Mladic the opportunity to conduct his defence.

very pleased that they are finally getting serious in the Hague. for way too many years, the likes of mass-murderers milosevic, karadzic, etc have been allowed to disrespect the court, the judges, and especially the witnesses. It's more than about time to show them their place.

i have some very good links, first this article by the great ed vuliammy, on mladic's arrest/capture:

http://www.bosnia.org.uk/news/news_body.cfm?newsid=2797

and please check out the other articles on the Bosnian Institute website, which is a singular example of high journalistic standards.

i also have 2 books to recommend (for those who read books): Judgment Day -- the trial of slobodan milosevic (by Chris Stephen); The Lion, the fox and the Eagle (by Carol Off). also, concerning the work of Louise Arbour, the incredible hague prosecutor who left way too soon -- a canadian/german film production called Hunt for Justice. actually made for canadian TV, but think bbc much moreso than typical US tv.

we are hoping to bring out as many connections as possible to mladic's mass murders and the orders/ pay from belgrade, which are clear to all normal people who understand the history of the period. Hopefully we'll be able to re-open the genocide trial against serbia, and pressure the blgd regime to pay reparations to individuals victims, victims' families. we really have to be vigilant to see that that happens.

It's possible or probable that the primary reason why Mladic is interrupting the court proceedings is simply because he hates the fact that he's being detained at the Hague's detention unit.If he is guilty of multiple or various types of war crimes than who cares that he simply dislikes his predicament.

Of course there will always be supporters who don't actually care whether he is guilty or not but just support him because that is in line with their own prejudices. They will continue to squirm. Quite right too - the court was set up to achieve exactly that effect.

We need to know that Tito was a Croat, and as such the Croatians were able to easily entrench certain Traitors among the Serbian Leadership.

Goran Hadzic Could have been working for Croatia in order to provide a trumped up plausible appearing justification to Ethnically Cleanse the Serbian Population from Krajina.

My hope is that Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic are innocent, and I am not accusing anyone of anything without proof, but I just want the Serbian People to be prepared if History repeats itself again in regard to the fact that Every Country has their share of Secret Traitors.

Whereas Milosevic and Seselj managed to attack the court in some way, Mladic is taken out in the fashion of a street brawler thrown out of a pub. Not very dignified.

Yet Another JS I have to wonder whether you have read the writings of Jared lee loughner, it seems as if you share a similar writing style.

Hopefully we'll be able to re-open the genocide trial against serbia, and pressure the blgd regime to pay reparations to individuals victims, victims' families. we really have to be vigilant to see that that happens.

thanks. ciao!

As a Serbian, the patterns are very familiar. The NAZI policy in the region is now being realised by NATO. As such, this court in the Hague is just a tentacle of NATO.

Also, after the indiscriminate bombing of Tripoli- yet another capital city-, we would've seen Sarkosy, Cameron and Nobel peace prize winner Obama in the dock as well.
