Yes, but how much money was made from the exports of heroin?

Why don't you pose that question directly to the "Opium Queen"

If the US government dumps $4 trillion into the infrastructure of Middle Eastern states, it's called national defense. If the US government dumps $4 trillion into the infrastructure of its own country, it's called socialism. It would be funny if it weren't so tragic.

Yeah, great country, spends 4 trillion on wars but has no money for universal health care. Who benefits from these 4 trillion? That's easy, it's the military industrial complex, the people who feed the NATO killing machine, and who also happen to own the congress and senate with their lobbyists. Nobody else benefits, certainly not US citizens. These people are doing a great job of destroying America. Keep digging that hole!

Cheers!

You mean the Yankees ONLY spent 4 trillion bucks? In any case, think what that amount of money could have done for all those jobless and homeless in Yankee land! http://www.federalbudget.com/

When Obama recently announced a drawdown of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, he said America's wars have cost the country $1 trillion dollars.

But a report by Brown University’s Watson Institute for International Studies estimates the total cost at $3.7 trillion.

Obama is either economical with the truth or he hasn't got a clue of what he's talking about. The fact is the wars in Iraq and Afganistan were merely a smokescreen for the largest theft of taxpayers funds in Us history.Back in 2004, the US government decided to impose a mini Marshall Plan and literally flood Iraq with billions in crisp $100 bills. The LA Times reported: "Pentagon officials decided that one giant C-130 Hercules cargo plane could carry $2.4 billion in shrink-wrapped bricks of $100 bills. They sent an initial full planeload of cash, followed by 20 other flights to Iraq by May 2004 in a $12-billion haul that U.S. officials believe to be the biggest international cash airlift of all time." And here we are making fun of the Chairsatan and his puny helicopter. Yet where the story gets very disturbing is that it now seems that more than half of this "reconstruction" funding was blatantly stolen! "Despite years of audits and investigations, U.S. Defense officials still cannot say what happened to $6.6 billion in cash.

Also the Wall Street Journal reported that during a three-year period more than $3.1 billion in U.S. dollars left Afghanistan through the airport destined for Middle Eastern countries like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. More than $3 billion has been shipped from a country the CIA Fact Book claims only collected $1 billion in taxes annually. It seems the Afghans have certainly learned Western banking skills very quickly indeed. I imagine they'll be paying each other bonuses for a job well done.

Great country - corporate fascists running the government, sharks running the banks, not enough legitimacy among the population to maintain itself against a religious rabble."

with the US economy struggling and with a high unemployment rate, the cost of maintaining face for the US government is getting very expensive. Once the debt collector knocks on the door, expect Iraq and Afghanistan to really ramp up the body bag count. Karma, such a lovely thing.
