Fred, you mean the genocide committed against the Serb population by Bosnian muslim terrorists under the command of the butcher Naser Oric who murdered over 10,000 innocent Serb men women and children in and around Srebrenica from 1992 to 1995?

This Tribunal is illegal, it is nothing more than an instrument of NATO aggression against the heroic Serbs. When I see American British and other NATO leaders on trial for war crimes and crimes of genocide in places like Iraq then I might change my mind.

This is a tribunal not a proper court. There is a lot of difference in how it functions. A Court has specific rules on what is and what is not admissible, In a tribunal hearsay is admissible; second and third hand witnesses are acceptable and their evidence is taken seriously and so it goes on.
Let me say this is, if you were brought before a tribunal for speeding the police officer would only have to say “I heard from my friend that this man was speeding yesterday” and the judge would find you guilty.

Mladic had 16 years to prepare his defense, now it's time to make sure that the trial is fast-paced and that the victims see the butcher of Srebrenica and one of the main architects of the Bosnian Genocide punished for the crimes he committed.

If these words were used in a real court setting there would be uproar of denying the accused justice” So if there are witnesses out there that can support the accused you just forgo them because the trial will take too long.

Good one!

Prosecutors use these phrases every day in every nation of the world. Justice will be swift, justice will be quick, we will bring ____ to trial quickly.
In the US it is even a right that the accused have a speedy trial.
Would be different if it were a judge saying the same thing.

You don't expedite JUSTICE, it's about expediting the PROCEEDINGS. Simply means doing things faster, i.e. prosecutors not adding more and more points to the indictment on the one hand, and preventing the accused person of deliberately prolonging the procedures by repeated requests of 'more time', 'more witnesses' and other delays on the other hand. Otherwise, it will happen just like in the Milosevic case: The accused will pass away due to age and health before justice has spoken. The bad thing is that people will even think he was innocent, which is even true, legally spoken.

"What an amazing statement. How do you expedite justice? Read out that the person is guilty as charged and pronounce sentence? "

The charges are strong, but what about the evidence?

No truth will come out of this trial. The outcome is pre-determined, much like a show trial that Stalin used to conduct, rather this time it is in the hands of NATO under the cover of the UN. The fact that the media has made such a huge deal about Mladic's arrest for years means that it would be the biggest embarrasment if he was to be released, so there is zero chance of this happening. The Hague is a disgrace and shouldn't be recognised as a legal institution.

If these words were used in a real court setting there would be uproar of denying the accused justice, but not when you are in front of a tribunal at The Hague or in Guantanamo Bay.
Western justice at its best in the 21 century. For those that do not follow history, Joe Stalin ran show trials in the 1930s in the Soviet Union and these modern-day Tribunals are an exact replica.
