Milošević’s attorney to defend Mladić

Mladic defended Serbs from the huge Bosnian Muslim military and paramilitaries (200,000) and the Croatian army which had entire brigades stationed in Bosnia throughout the war.
Unfortunately Serbs didn't free Serbs from all the torture camps the Croats and Muslims had up and running already at the beginning of the war.

I have a feeling that the trial will not be much publicized - same as Milosevic's which had been tooted as the "Trial of the Century" but then was kept under wraps as Milosevic showed the "witnesses" for the perjurers they were/are.
The ICTY had to cut off his microphone because what he said was too damaging for their scripted versions of what happened during the war.

The problem with the Albanians is that they have no one to look up to and constantly talk about America the great and the US did this or did that, but they never mention their great leaders or scientist; educators, musicians or any other talented individuals. Why do you ask? It’s simple, there are none – they have no one they can look up to except babble about Serbs did this or did that.
Why do you ask they carry on like that? Once again the answer is simple; it’s called jealousy as the Serbs have renowned people in all the spheres I have mentioned and some of these men and women have made their name in the wonder of wonders called the US of A.
General Ratko Mladic is a military genius that kept the rats from overcoming the Serbs.Just like the west blames the Serbs for the 10000 Albanians killed during the Kosovo conflict – another western concoction. Unfortunately the Albanians are too scared to admit that it was the western allies that hit anything that moved or did not move in Kosovo and they blamed it on Milosevic “he droves to it”.
The Hague Tribunal is just that, a tribunal or to use a more common name, a kangaroo court. Evidence that would be thrown out in a proper court is acceptable in the Tribunal. For you Americans I can give you a good example – read up on the Salem witch trials and you will see a Tribunal in action.
These are the acceptable forms of evidence in a Tribunal – rumor, hearsay, four and fifth hand information. Why has the US stooped to running a military Tribunal for the Guantanamo Bay detainees? Because conviction is guaranteed.
I particulary like that video on the US seals capturing war criminals – these nincompoops could not tie their own shoelaces let alone perform a task.
On one occasion the dodos actually went into Bosnia and captured the wrong people – it took them 3 days to find out they had made a mistake. US halfwits, no wonder the US is being thrashed at every turn.

I dont mind it if the trial lasts for years. Mladic is the face of all of Serbia when he is sitting in that court room. As long as Mladic's face is on the TV screen....the world will be constantly reminded of the war crimes ALL of Serbia joined in on. Again, it wasn't just this man that was responsible for directing and orchestrating the massacres...it was the entire Serb people who were in the army, para military, police etc that were doing all of the killings. Dont fool yourselves into believing that the only murderers are in the Hague. The murderers live amongst the civilian population of Serbia.

Look hard and closely at the video below. This is a message to every Serbian that thinks that they and their country is above the law. The USA has unlimted resources to pursue and capture scumbag war criminals. If Serbia is smart, they will never use force again against the civilians of another country again or else someone will be knocking at your door when you least expect it.... 1. All of Serbia did not join in; Serbia stopped support for Srpska and prevented it from getting arms, effectively ending the war
2. I guess Thaci is above the law? and what about those responsible for the million dead in Iraq, 2 Million in Vietnam and 3 Million in Korea?

Well if Mezayev participates in defending Mladic then this may have some implications. Mezayev has aided Milosevic and Seselj in their defences, now no matter what anyone says what is clear is that Milosevic died before being convicted of anything (on trial for 6 years with no verdict) and Seselj has been in the hague since 2003 and he is still on trial, however this is for contempt of court, its as if they are trying everything to convict him of something, a clear example of the hague being weak and struggling. Now Mezayev has clearly had an influence in keeping them from conviction, so perhaps he can benefit Mladic, clearly a damn good legal adviser. The only difference now is that the hague will do anything to keep Mladic from dying, Milosevic's death highlighted how the hague is a joke of a legal institution.

I am impressed you know about the Salem witchcraft trials, I actually did a paper on them in college. However, they took place before the US existed, at a time that the area was still a relatively new British colony.
You seem to have a good potential for knowledge, however it amazes me that you let your nationalism to blind you to real facts.
While Serbia has a rich history and there have been some impressive Serbs through history, I do not think that anything Mladic has done can be impressive in a good way. Also if you truly believe the Serbian propaganda that it was NATO forces that killed all the Albanians and torched their lands in Kosovo, You only prove the saying, a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.
And Albanians jealous of Serbians, that is the hypocritical attitude that allowed the massacres of the former Yugoslavia to take place . Which confuses me on your denial of it happening, I would think you would hold your banner high, to say WE did this.

A whole article and no mention of innocence but dragging every political element into the arena possible. Even Libya. Does anyone doubt this trial to take a minimum of 10 years.
The judges in the Hague have seen enough evidence from the Y wars to know that Srebenica was not a scam, but I guess if that is the only hope by clouding the issue he is a good defense attorney, afterall the goal of the prosecution is to bring justice, the goal of the defense is to free their client by any means available.

But my new word for the day is "mendacious", I will try to use it in a conversation today.

Let's hope Aleksander Mezyaev does become Mladic's defence counsel, it should be a short hearing then as they only allow relevancy in a court and not grandstanding and obscuration. He'll have nothing left to say.

I highly doubt that a lawyer who defends people in front of a court would call that same court "criminal". It makes no sense. It is very likely that those words were put in his mouth by other people. Which makes me doubt everything else on his statements.

I am well aware of when and under which conditions the Salem Witch trials took place, but they are identical to the Hague Tribunal – call out witch and the judge hands down the verdict “burn her”. But let’s look at something more recent – Guantanamo Bay detainees being judged by a Military Tribunal – I don’t see you denying that fact.
I know it difficult to believe that a person like me who was not born or educated in Europe or the Americas could have become a nationalist – that’s incorrect I have become an ultra nationalist.
Pior to the 1990s I had no interest in the Balkans, but thanks to the US that changed completely. I have posted on several occasions the reasons for my change – I came across several of your countries’ operatives who were disgusted with the US stance against the Serbs – you see the intelligence community keeps in very close contact with the people in the finance world.
It was a couple of your people who were retired after the fall of the Berlin wall and as they worked in Asia for years they stayed there. They told me all about Srebrenica. It was three years after they were retireed that the US Government wanted to rehire them but they declined – you can guess the colourful language they used to tell your CIA station Chief in that region that htye were not interested.
These people still had close contacts with then current operatives – one of them even knew William Walker and he told me that operatives mission in Kosovo. It was these people that told me that NATO was dumping bombs left right and centre on anything because they would blame the Serbs so it was they that told me that NATO had killed 10000 Albanians. This was later confirmed by Ehud Olmert the former Israli PM.
I never said that some Serbs did not burn Albanian homes or fields etc. That did happen and that involved irregular forces, but NATO was the main culprit not the Serb army.
Mladic did what I would have done. Perhaps you might tell me what are your US generals doing in Afghanistan? Who are they defending? Freedom and democracy? Please I did not come down in the last shower of rain.
The problem with Albanians came well before the 1990s. Your people cannot live with anyone – as the war of 1999 proved beyond any doubt when you kicked out ethnic Turks, Moslem Roma, Croats etc.
I am proud of my fellow Serbs and even prouder of General Ratko Mladic and the reason he is in the Hague is because he made your US look like a bunch of incompetent clowns.
