PM: Kosovo is not and cannot be condition

Corrupt politicians and thats all. When Serb people are going to learn that Kosovo was never part of Serbia, but Serbia was part of Kosovo. Open your eyes. Kosovo was split to form Serbia, split to make North Albania and Montenegro, split again to form Macedonia.

Even if it's not a condition right now, it'll most likely be a condition for Serbia from all the countries that have recognized Kosova as an independent State.

The farce keeps going on...

Croatia as an EU member will at least put that condition. Not to mention Great Britain,Germany,Slovenia and France.

And even if nobody would set up that condition how is Serbia going to fullfill the copenhagen critaria on good neighbourly relations without recognizing Kosovo??

And Serbia will not have Kosovo under it's rule or sovregnity so the best thing to speed up it's integration into Eu would be to recognize Kosovo as soon as possible.


But hey let's see what happends. Many people in Serbia belived that Kosovo would never dare to declare indpendence. But what happend ? It got recognized by soon half of the UN member countrys.

The problem is that you have the majority of countries that have recognised Kosovo not wanted to bring in issues within their boarders, especially as they have recognised the independence. The only way this could not be a condition is when you have all the EU countries revoke their recognition of Kosovo (this will never happen) especially as Serbia has no right to occupy a nation that does not want to be governed by a repressive nationalist government.

I know that the Serb people have been fed a load of crap "kosovo is the cradle of Serbian civilisation" what is surprising to see is the current government continuing the same line, I guess the Serb story teachers or academics are to blame.... (YOU LOST THE BATTLE OF KOSOVO) where both serbs and albanians fought together to liberate or stop the ottoman empire advance into the EU.

We need to understand that at time, certain statements are made by the European Union, and even though they may not be literally false at times, they do need deciphering.

There have been some discussions lately on whether Serbia will have to give up Kosovo to join the European Union.

If Germany really wanted Kosovo to become Independent, then they would make sure the SAA Agreement was already implemented.

Along with that, Germany and the others would make sure all the other necessary things were in place where people would say that Serbia could join the European Union tomorrow.

Then Germany and others could say that there is just one more condition, and that is that Serbia must recognize Kosovo, and European Union Membership is theirs.

We do know that there will have to be a Referendum in Serbia for Kosovo to become Independent, and that can only possibly, possibly, possibly pass if the European Union after the SAA Agreement had been implemented for a while.

This is why if Germany wants Kosovo to become Independent, then they should not waste time, but they need to pressure the slack EU Countries to implement the SAA Agreement with Serbia as soon as possible.

If Serbia is not in a position to be able to say that European Union Membership is there in a few days after a Referendum, then, the Vote for Kosovo’s Independence will be NO.

It should be obvious that the European Union does not want Kosovo Albanians to join the European Union, because Serbia would allow some of Kosovo to join the EU in a Cyprus Type Situation.

There is no reason to go into specifics, but for the sake of Diplomacy, we will just say that the European Union have their reasons based on their opinions.

This would mean that the People of Kosovo are Serbian Citizens, and that they can go to the EU to look for work.

We see that neither Serbia nor the European Union want Kosovo to become Independent, but the European Union are reluctant to tell the Kosovo Albanians this.

The European Union should as an entirety revoke their support for Kosovo Albanian Unilateral Declaration of Independence, or Kosovo should Full Reintegrate with Serbia, because they will only allow Serbia to join the European Union with its Southern Province of Kosovo.

Serbia should just totally ignore any Talk from the European Union only restrictions to joining the EU.

Serbia should pursue Policies which are the Right ones, and if the European Union does not come to up proper standards, then Serbia should not join until they do.

Does Mirko Cvetković know that Serbia was involved in Kosovo war and tried to wipe out Kosovo's population?

For as long there is at least one (EU) member state that doesn't want a second Cyprus, and currently there are twenty two of them, Serbia will not be integrated in the EU. Kosovo in UN and then Serbia in EU.

It works the other way to Mirko: For as long as there is at least one (EU) member state that does recognize Kosovo’s independence, and currently there are 22 of them (+1 Croatia), Serbia cannot integrate within EU.
It’s sad that the prime minister is insulting the intelligence of the Serbian people with these remarks. He should know better.

Serbia should pursue Policies which are the Right ones, and if the European Union does not come to up proper standards, then Serbia should not join until they do.

That is a good one. If EU does not come up to proper standards. I think the 8 year wait is it will take that long for Serbia to come up to EU standards. If you think EU is below standards one has to wonder how low you consider standards in Serbia?
I suppose you think the name probably should be changed to European Union of Serbia once Serbia caves in to the endless pleading of the EU to join?

Who is this guy to apparently call the shots? The 22 member states who recognise Kosovo are well in their right to not approve Serbia's membership for whatever reason they choose. The 22 EU member states can come out and say they're not ratifying Serbia's membership until Serbia recognises Kosovo if they want to and Mirko Cvetkovic will be powerless against it.

Also to everyone who says "we'd rather not have the EU and keep Kosovo", that isn't the case, nor is it an option aka fantasy-land dream. There are two options, have the EU and don't have Kosovo or don't have the EU and don't have Kosovo.

For as long there is at least one (EU) member state that doesn't want a second Cyprus, and currently there are twenty two of them, Serbia will not be integrated in the EU. Kosovo in UN and then Serbia in EU.
