We Albanians need Tadic in power for the next years, so pressure on him from the Western governments should not be very strong, until he wins the elections next year again. Some agreements are good enough for now, so that Serbia can get closer to EU candidate status and the DS win the next elections and the obstacles on Kosovo decreased via the agreements and the trust of Kosovo Albanians towards this government in Serbia increased. Forcing this government to recognize Kosovo now may have the effect of DS losing the elections. The road to the EU is long. In my opinion, the pressure to recognize Kosovo should be applied in the next governing cycle, after the DS win the elections next year. Sincerely, I can also not see who would be able to govern Serbia apart from the DS. The others seem like failures. Kostunica is gone, Nikolic makes fake hunger strikes. SRS is focused on the Hague, the socialists have a big baggage from the past. I would like the opinion of some Serb more informed than I am, is there any convincing alternative to the DS? Ignore Kosovo in the answer, I am just asking about the economy, reforms, good (or at least not very bad) governance. Hopefully, I will get answers that make sense.

There is enlagement fatigue in the EU and Serbia will not be able to join even if they recognize Kosovo ten time over. Tadic is just to stupid to realize what is going on. The EU sees a way to force Tadic and co to, not only recognize Kosovo, but for Serbia to join NATO, reject Republika Srpska, arrest Goran Hadzic, and still Serbia wont be able to join. You see mr Tadic the EU don't want anymore countries to join after Croatia. Look how long they promised Turkey! That is reality. Deal with it, forget about the hypocrits in the EU and make Serbia a better place without the handouts from richer EU countries. Mr Tadic you need to change your obsession for the EU. It's not all that. Ask Greece, Portugal and Ireland.

I cannot believe some of these diplomats and their comments within a sovereign state when visiting.
We all know that the statement the German diplomat was actually meant to say "We like you guys but you know if kind of do this we will be more friendlier to you guys"
The Serbian government needs to grow some balls and start to bite back at these nations that try to meddle in Serbia's affairs.
If Serbia survived one of the most Illegal acts against a sovereign state aka "NATO Bombing og Yugoslavia" then I guess a little diplomatic attacking/defense won't hurt?

Without recognizing Kosovo Serbia will never enter EU. Having good neighbourly relations is a pre-condition for entering EU we all know that. So it means that Serbia at least need's the blessing of Kosovo to enter EU and it is somthing it will never get unless Serbia recognizes Kosovo.

Only a fool belives somthing else. And only a fool belives that Serbia will choose somthing it cannot get(Kosovo) insteed of Eu.

But we will see what happends. Serbs also belived that K.albanians would never dare to declare independence but we now know what happened. I bet many serbs belive that Serbia will choose Kosovo insteed of EU?

Mr.Otto has spoken and the message is crystal clear... now Tadic knows what he must do in order to obtain a "JA" in autumn...next months will be interesting...Will he choose Kosovo or Europe ?...the question is open given the problems in all Eu periphery so maybe Boris might think that EU is a broken project and he doesn't want to pass to history as another "Pietro Badoglio "...
