Really, Europe's most tragi-comic "country" strikes again! These bizarre individuals get excited because their foreign, made-up flag has been spotted on the table at a meaningless meeting in Poland, yet they don't see being suspended by the IMF as a problem.

They then start celebrating because their food, which they already haven't the money to pay for, is going to be 10% more expensive, but it's great news because it might upset the Serbs. Even then, they don't actually get to impose this nonsense because, as any bright elementary school student might have told them, Brussels doesn't like tariffs and it particularly doesn't like tariffs as a means of political point-scoring, somethimg which hasn't been seen in Europe for half a century.

Still, your flag was sitting on a table in Poland...

The K/Albs themselves are the reason "Kosova" will never be a country. What a complete joke!
(The Brit, 15 June 2011 13:37)

Very true.

Things like seeing their flag at some table, or meaningless pacific island "countries" that "recognized" "Kosova" is a lot more important than eating are you kidding???

Its spotting their flags at conferences that make them believe they actually exist. Because think about it, K.Alb officials knew their deceleration of independence and subsequent recognition by Western countries was not going to improve anything on the ground. The living conditions in Kosovo are downright awful. Whats worse is KOSOVO ALBANIANS GET MORE AID THAN ANY OTHER PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. So where did all this money go is my question.

Your own people are draining your resources dry. A few K.Albs that were installed by Washington and Brussels are reaping the benefits of all the aid you have received while the average K.Albanian suffers in poverty and hunger.

You know whats ironic though...had you agreed to rule from Serbia, Belgrade would have to do everything in its power to appease you and to make sure living conditions in Kosovo improve dramatically with the whole world watching.

But hey everything but living under Serbia is better! Remember when those Serbs set up concentration camps and massacred all those Albanians..yeah I don't either. Now you don't even know why you were fighting Serbia other than downright racism and to have the right to be mugged from YOUR VERY OWN PEOPLE.

Shame K.Albs could not have been more smarter. Belgrade would not have realistically stripped you of rights and you would have seen an improved living standard..but hey you're K.Albs, you don't know how to be smart.

Why do you and other albanians come to a Serbian newsforum day in and day out? Do you trust Serbian media, or what? I thought it was all Miloseviq propaganda? Funny that Serbia is blamed for being the least democratic in the region and nationalistic but still muslims, croats and albanians are allowed to spew their hatered all over the place. The only place in the Balkans where you can experience democracy is in Serbia. You daily comment here are proof of that.

Good to see that there are at least some decisions of the 'Kosovo authorities' that make sense. How can a 'country' that has ambitions to join the EU try to introduce import taxes?

The reason why EU intervened is because Serbia will soon recognize Kosovo's passports, license plats and goods coming through Serbia. Win-win may I say, have a good day y'all.

The ignorance by some posters is truly astounding, but I dont blame them, as always Serbian media, and B92 clearly is no exception, like to twist it a bit and post the part what Serbs like to read, make them feel strong so to say, same tactics were used by RTS in the 90s but thats another story. Why quote an Albanian newspaper, if you don't trust. Is this for propaganda purpose, or what?

ROFL! What a "country" - can't even introduce taxes without asking the sugar daddy.
Faleminderit, Brussels - my next vacation is on Ravna Gora.

BTW: a friend of mine from Belgrade was recently robbed in Hungary on a freeway by an Albanian gang. Be careful while on vacation: some Hungarian "policemen" are from Pristina or Tirana.

Looks like the policy that some Kos Albanian posters were getting excited about won't come about.

But really? I mean Kos Albanians wanted prices to go up for ordinary Kos Albanians, its a kind of mean political position to take to try to punish Serbia (and Bosnia)?

From my perspective it looks as if you have as many, if not more problems caused by international authorities who won't let Kos Albanians make their own decisions. Certainly when it comes to daily life of average Kos Albanians its the internationals which have much more impact than Serbs.

There must be a more constructive and fruitful way of improving the lives of people in Kosovo.
