Because I'm pretty sure the definition isn't "any non-serb with vague aspersions cast against him who, when dragged through the mud, will make me feel better, personally"
(Danilo, 10 June 2011 17:37)

For the record:

1) Jovan Divljak is from Pravoslav family. Dunno what makes him non-Serb but it should be some funny stuff.

2) If he indeed did shout: "don't shoot" during the incident and it's recorded - any court in Belgrade will declare him innocent like 1-2-3. If that's true - than probably he is clean and clear regarding the incident.

3) Good to know, Robert Leonard Rope does not fear Serbian rusty spoons. To the contrary - he is confident, he can influence and free Jovan Divljak. And that Belgrade is a safe place to go from "Frisco" without the danger like his eyes being tortured by rusty spoons.

This is at last, a great confession. After all, these evil Serbs aren't evil - even if they paint swastika-like signs above the entrance of Trepca mine. They are gentle beings, ready to listen for Robert Leonard Rope's preaching.

Now after this confession I have no idea, what kind of problem Robert Leonard Rope has with Serbs. It kind of defies the logic of everything he said before.

Welcome to Belgrade, relax and don't fear the rusty spoons.

"A war crime was committed, or in your esteemed legal knowledge and extensive experience was it simply an 'accident'"

No where did I say it was an accident. All I said was he said "don't shoot", which is true - it's on video for you to see.

--Divjak, who is wanted in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina for crimes against Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA) troops in Dobrovoljačka Street in Sarajevo in 1992 was arrested in Austria in March on Serbian warrant.--

you will NEVER, i mean NEVER touch one hair on jovan divjak's precious head. ever! divjak, aside from being a personal frnd, is THE great hero of sarajevo. that he happens to have serb ancestry just makes it that much more poignant.

it was largely thanks to the likes of him, and a few others, that sarajevo was partially spared the fate of srebrenica, not to mention much of E bosnia. of course, some of sarajevo was occupied by the serbs, and the rest was regularly bombed (shelled), sniped at and starved -- then mined -- for nearly 4 years! you'd think that the aggressors would hang their heads in shame, but no -- they are still determined to try to relative all war crims, and they stupidly think that by trying to get at jurisic, ganic, and now divjak, they will succeed. just the opposite, and the ugly tuth has been lain bare for the world to see.

democratic austria will NEVER extradite divjak, for all of the right and wrong reasons. but if by some utter fluke of nature they did extradite him, i can promise that i will personally come back to blgd and find him safe passage home. whatever it takes.

i wish i could be in my beloved sarajevo when he returns, this july, to a grand hero's welcome. but instead we'll celebrate when i return next year.

b92, you have really shown yr true colors, and it ain't a very pretty shade.

I didn't call him a war criminal, I implied that he was and I provided verifiable information that the Austrians have an exceedingly poor record of doing the right thing.

But still, how can you be so willfully ignorant Danilo? Where have you been the last twenty years? Under a rock? In a tree house scratching your armpits?

Everyone knows that Divjak was head of the Bosnian moslem TO. He bears at minimum 'Command Responsibility'. If you have a problem with that, then I suggest you take it up with the kangaroo court in the Hague as they have indicted many people on exactly such a charge.

That he shouted "Don't shoot" is neither here nor there as proof of innocence, though it clearly shows he was there at the scene. A) the video is only a partial show of events and does not tell us what he did before or after; b) in all the interviews he has done since he still claims he doesn't know "who shot first" or to have any idea apart from flimsy hypotheses. He has no interest in knowing or either telling so he could well be covering up.

A war crime was committed, or in your esteemed legal knowledge and extensive experience was it simply an 'accident', many of which have of course happened at the hands of croats, moslems and albanians but nothing ever deliberate?

If you want to make excuses for your own and other war criminals you are more than free to do so in public. If you want to peddle the bosniaq 'victim' myth freely then I suggest you pick some other website you may get more sympathy. I really don't care.

Why is this man a war criminal, Aleks?

Videos of the Dobrovoljačka Street incident show him ordering on the radio "don't shoot!", "DON'T SHOOT".

Could you please define "war criminal"? Because I'm pretty sure the definition isn't "any non-serb with vague aspersions cast against him who, when dragged through the mud, will make me feel better, personally"

Vienna likes its war criminals and even had a nazi as United Nations Secretary General (Waldheim). They haven't prosecuted one for over 30 years and protect the rest like Milovoj Asner. Maybe by handing over Divjak they can pretend they are still part of civilized Europe with their Mozartcugels. Even Hungary has put them to shame by going after war criminals.
